I hope you'll address in your reviews: 1. Launch time of Logos from a cold boot. 2. Heat when indexing and under normal use and where the heat comes from. 3. Overall responsiveness. 3. SDD space available to the user out of the box before you install anything. It would be really great if you could upload a video.

Glen, I have a Samsung Tab s7. You say you are comparing it to a Surface Pro. Are you aware that the Tab s7 runs the Logos Android app and not the full desktop app, like the Surface Pro? I ask because the Logos experience on the Tab s7 will not be the full experience on Android. If you are expecting to use the full desktop version of Logos, you will

I am finished (I think ) with my Logos library upgrades. I, too, got some great deals. Instead of purchasing the highest level of package in each tradition I was targeting, I followed the advice of others by purchasing the lower packages first and building up to the largest I wanted. At the end of the day, just by doing that I saved an additional 22
I have been studying Joseph Caryl - (An Exposition, with Practical Observations, upon the Book of Job) for over 2 years, and I have transcribed, the necessary texts from Job Chapters 1 - 20 , to a modern typeface in my computer. I have extracted over 100 short Bible studies from the book. Though they are for my personal use

I used Daniel's script to install Logos on my chromebook in the standard Debian Buster container. Everything was working, but now the program will launch and just before getting to the desktop, the error box stating Logos.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close box appears. Clicking both Show Details and Close exits the program.
I tried to install via Daniel's script, and got an error saying "Your system does not have the command: ntlm_auth. Please install ntlm_auth package" I haven't been able to find this package in spite of my search online.
When I recently installed Logos using Daniel's script, I ran into this. IIRC, I solved the issue by

I have found the ESV doesn't intent paragraphs. It is something I have raised in the past.
Personal growth
For personal growth, I would recommend John Stott's commentary on Romans. Stott was a pastor and his commentaries explain the text and provide insights for living.
-
Stuart, The NICOT/NICNT commentaries are revised from time to time by new authors who write a new commentary on a particular book. The example in this thread is the gospel of John. Faithlife doesn't swap out the older version of a commentary with the newer one and take away the one you purchased with the newer one. Instead, you keep the version you

I'm actually in the process right now of using Daniel's appimage installation on my Pixelbook Go. https://github.com/ferion11/LogosLinuxInstaller I had to install some dependencies -- zenity, x11-apps and a couple of others before the installer would run. I'm indexing now.

Rob, welcome to the forums. Are you running the standard Debian container on your Pixelbook?

When I opened the .docx file originally I thought of the problem with all the text in text boxes. Some pdf converters will do this if the goal is for the converted .docx file to maintain graphical compatibility with the pdf. The converted .docx file is virtually impossible to work with. For PBBs, it yields a better result to convert the pdf to text
-
Dale, another thing you can try is to attach a copy of one of your .docx files and we can try to build it in Logos to see what is going on.

See the second line under the first main heading. It happens randomly.

Please see the attached screenshot taken using Chrome 85.0.4183.83 on Windows 10. There is some sort of rendering issue going on here. FYI, the same issue appears on my Chromebook.

I checked the Logos 8 in the vote box but didn't see how I could vote three times. Also, once I voted, the vote count didn't go up so I can't tell if my votes were successful.
I doubt that the real issue is "legal."
Legality was, if IRC, a reason for it. Users who created PBBs of their copyrighted works would get housed on Faithlife's servers.

David, Welcome to the forums! A number of us have asked for keystroke support in the mobile apps (iOS and Android) but it seems Faithlife wants these apps to be touch driven. It's the opposite with the desktop app. A number of use have asked for that to be more touch friendly, but Faithlife seems to be committed the traditional mouse/keyboard interactions
