• Logos 4 is like marriage

While talking to a friend about Logos 4 I came up with a good analogy that describes my experience so far and what I hope for the future. Logos 4 is like marriage. It's not exactly what you expected, but with a little time it's better than you imagined. Invest some time and energy, and as the days, weeks, months (and years) go by it only gets better

  • Prayer Lists

I really miss Prayer Lists. Is there any plan to add those to Logos4. Prayer list functionality could be extremely useful syncing among computers and even syncing with iPhone. Please

  • Re: I feel a little misled

I too had to force myself to use Logos4 as a beta tester. There were many times when I just wanted to go back to 3 just to get it done quickly. But after a few weeks, I too find myself rarely going back to 3. There are some features that I really miss, and I would be more vocal about asking for them, except that they are promised soon...and in the meantime
future plans to offer access to your library via the web
Bob, this makes me very happy! Can you disclose a ballpark date for when that's going to be available?

  • Re: Logos 4 on a netbook - giving up
Logos 4 is reasonable on my desktop - sluggish with delays but overall pretty good (Vista 32bit, Quad core with 4Gb of RAM) However, on my netbook it's proving to just be a totally frustrating experience. Twice now Logos 4 has spent hours (over 24 hours the first time about 15 this time) creating the index only to delete

  • Re: iPhone app as functional for me as Logos 4 for Mac...Where are my books?
Bob: Purchased the cross grade 6 months ago. (I'm a Scholar's Gold owner). I thought Mac users didn't need to purchase the update yet...since not much in our version has been updated.
James, the cross-grade is the cross-grade to Logos4. Go to http://www.logos.com/upgrade to find the upgrade to the new Logos4 library
Horae?? No time to wade through that. Dated indeed.
I have really been blessed by Horae. That was a worthwhile purchase at full price. Not a great academic tool, but man if you are looking to just sit down and hear from a guy who loved God as he is impacted by the Word...sweet stuff. Horae turned into one my favorite

  • Re: (Logos 4) Highlighter mode.
Hi Bob et al. I'd like to suggest that Logos 4 be given a 'highlighter mode' - that is, that rather than having to click a section of text and then press control-K or click on the highlighting you want, you be able to double-click on a highlighter and then have that highlighting apply to any text you select thereafter

The Portfolio is safe from me.
Yes, from me too. I can't imagine spending $2,180 for Logos resources and not ending up with the ICC or some other really incredible stuff. For me the dollars and what I'd get for them simply don't add up at all. In fact as I look at what I'd even want in

  • Re: Slow response in MW Dictionary 11th Ed.

I notice this as well. It occurs in all dictionaries, especially (but not limited to) when indexing is running. But Logos 4 comes up with a great solution to my lookups. Most of the time I was looking up words that were in my reading. If you pull up the information window from Tools | Lookup, (make sure you prioritize your favorite English dictionary

  • Re: Non-Supported Resources

    1. Everything but PBBs will be rebuilt so that you can read it. This takes time. If you have a list of particular files (not PBBs) that you can't read, post them to the forums so that the Logos guys know to look into it. As for PBB support, reading PBBs will be supported in upcoming updates. 2. Notes & Markups importing is coming very soon ( http:/

  • Portfolio Price Too Steap

I own almost all the big-dollar items on the Portfolio collection already. I've made a spreadsheet of the difference of what I'd be getting upgrading to Platinum and Portfolio and portfolio just doesn't make any sense. The upgrade cost to Portfolio compared to the upgrade cost to the other collections seems awfully steep. Are old purchases being calculated

  • Re: How long will the discounted prices for the L4 packages last?

I hope so. I can't do it right now, but want to upgrade to Platinum. Love to know how long I can do it for at this price

I am doing my best to field technical support calls locally before directing them to you guys. I'm having a busy day on that front. Already sold at least two brand new purchases to Scholars and think I'm helping out with some upgrades. I'm so excited to finally be able to share Logos 4 with the world

  • Re: Indexing for 6 hours

Yes, depending on the system, indexing can run anywhere from 8 to 24+ hours. It's only an issue on first install and then when you add a large number of resources to your collections. Logos has come a long way and devoted a lot of work to streamlining the indexing.

  • Show what resources I don't already have on the logos.com/upgrade page

I am considering upgrading to the platinum or portfolio from gold, but it looks like I already have most of the resources in the new packages from prepubs. It might be very helpful if there was a compare option to my licenses in particular so I could see exactly what I'm getting in the upgrade.
