I'm on a fairly old / outdated Android device (Nexus 4) and vertical scrolling works well in the Bible app. Although some other bible apps support vertical scrolling it seems the reading content is constrained to certain passages or chapters whereas you can essentially vertical scroll through the entire resource in the Faithlife Bible app which I appreciate
After working fine for an hour, 4.0.8 is now also crashing frequently for me. I'm just trying to read books, but turning the page or trying to navigate is causing it to crash.
Could you put your device in airplane mode and disable Wi-Fi and before starting the app?

We are working on correcting this force close at startup scenario. The latest update force closes after startup on certain types of devices after upgrading. It appears that uninstalling/reinstalling the app should correct the issue. We have not been able to reproduce this issue yet so I can't confirm. If somebody experiencing the issue wants to give
I'm interested in an answer to this as well. We are in much the same boat as you, Rod. We're trying to get a number of people using Logos to follow Proclaim signals, and we have several who are using Kindle Fire HDs.
I suspect that the problem is related to the gps location reported by the device. We'll look into

I updated the Vyrso stable download page with specific directions for Kindle Fire device users. From my perspective the Vyrso app is completely compatible with Kindle Fire devices. Amazon simply chooses not to allow Kindle Fire device users to install it. You can install and use the Vyrso app on your Kindle Fire device by following the side-loading
I just downloaded Vyrso from that link since Amazon tells me Vyrso isn't compatible with my device
Vyrso works just fine on the Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HD devices. Amazon simply chooses to not allow the Vyrso app to be installed via their Kindle Fire store app. There are step by step instructions on how Kindle

Dave, I took a quick look at the logs and I believe this issue is fixed in the 2.3.1 beta release. Could you try upgrading to the beta version?

Frank, could you please let me know where in the FSB you are pressing on a link to the EDNT?

Kindle Fire Device users should download and install the app and any updates via the Amazon Appstore. Once the updated version is installed the in-app update notifications will go away. You can access the Amazon Appstore update for the Bible app by clicking on this button:

If your device losses its internet connection before the initial library update finishes it can result in some books not being available for offline use when they should be. Unfortunately this will not correct itself over time and will require an update to the app to fix. We'll be releasing a public beta this week that corrects the issue and it will

2.2.3 has just shipped to the beta and stable channels and should be available soon via Google Play and available tomorrow via Amazon Appstore. I'll be posting an announcement shortly.

Re-installing the app on the same device will automatically queue up the downloaded resources that were previously installed for that user/device/app. However it should respect your type of network connection and only automatically download resources to your device when you have a wifi connection. I'll write up a case and make sure the next release

I have a Transformer Prime TF201 (with the keyboard dock), a Nexus 7 and a Motorola Triumph. Ever since my Nexus 7 arrived I haven't touched my Transformer except to test. The Nexus 7 is a beautiful device and is my preferred device for book reading and Bible study.

Linda, the version of the Logos App currently available through the Amazon Appstore does not yet have support for reading plans. Here are some options: Install the Faithlife Study Bible (Beta) app on your Kindle Fire (this includes reading plan support and is available through the Amazon Appstore) or Side load the current Logos Beta on your Kindle Fire

Sync occurs Every 10 minutes while the app is active when the app starts when the app stops whenever a user action occurs that requires syncing (ex/ creating a favorite)

Tim, Thanks for providing the logs. Can you verify that the /mnt/sdcard/Android/data/com.logos.androidlogos/install/lrsystemdatafiles directory exists on your device and contains several files? I haven't been able to reproduce your exact problem yet, but the closest I can get is if I delete this directory and then try to open a book.

Thanks for reporting this Shikai. It appears that a change was made sometime between Android 2.2 and 3.2 in how Android's 2D Skia graphics engine handles RTL text. I'll investigate this further.
