  • Re: The High Priesthood of Caiaphas is missing from the TIMELINE

Linking tagged dates to existing events and adding new events are done manually, which we continue to do. Look for more events in the future. (Future releases of the timeline, not future events on the timeline. We don't have any future events tagged )

  • Re: Timeline - where is Jesus birth?

The Bible Facts events appear on the timeline as biblical events if there is an equivalent timeline event linked to it. The timeline events for the birth of Jesus were improperly linked to the Bible Facts events. This has been manually fixed and should be correct in the next update.

  • Re: Speaker Label, labeled wrong in Genesis 3:3

The image above shows the Hebrew for Gen 3:3. The purple underline shows the text attributed to God, which is split up by the text in the green box (God said). I looked through some English translations, all of which use syntax which keeps the words attributed to God together, and so I eliminated the extra speaker label. The red boxes indicate the verbs

  • Re: Timeline Paul/Stephen discrepancy?

The timeline tool is intended as a comprehensive view of varying dating theories as presented across multiple resources; it is inclusive and descriptive of the resources currently tagged. It is not intended to posit its own theories for specific dates, but to present the possibilities with links to relevant information for each. The more resources we

  • Re: Speaker label in James 4:5

In places like this where the author is/seems to be citing a third-party quote, the speaker or source is determined based on: 1. The attribution in the text 2. The citation provided in a footnote and/or separate resource 3. a. Where 1 and 2 give different conclusions, both should be included. b. Where 1 and 2 provide no conclusion but provide a majority

Thanks for pointing this out. I have created a case for this so the right person can address the problem.

  • Re: Error reporting

Fixed. This should come out with the next update. I do not believe "report typo" functionality is available in the Bible Facts (though, someone may correct me). We will be running further systematic checks to eliminate such errors.

  • Re: ERROR: Timeline and Ussher

If you click through to ISBE (if you have ISBE) you will see that three Ussher dates (creation, flood, and a modified creation date) have been compounded incorrectly into this single instance. An update to these events should appear in the next resource update for timelines.

  • Re: Using the TIMELINE Tool in Logos 5

You can also search for Micah by: 1. Open the Timeline (Tools>Timeline) 2. Hitting ctrl+f (or command+f on mac) 3.Typing "Micah" into the search box This will take you to any event containing the word Micah, while keeping all other events visible. This will give you a visual of all the events surrounding Micah, as well as allow you to link to resources

  • Re: Bug: Hebrew text display

I note three problems with the Hebrew display in BHS, two of which are noted by the OP. 1) The characters overlap and run together. 2) All the words are backwards. The text is right justified, with the verse indicator on the right, but all the words are spelled left to right. For example, in Genesis 1:1 displays אָרּבָ instead of בָּרָא The word order

  • Re: The woman at the well in John 4 is missing from Biblical People

The woman at the well, and other New Testament people without known names, are not *yet* included in Biblical People. We are, however, currently in the process of collecting data for these people for their eventual inclusion.

Thank you for letting us know about this. I have reinserted the material. I assure you its deletion was entirely accidental, and I apologize for the oversight.
