• Re: L5 on Macbook Air (MBA) 2012

Thanks guys. That sounds promising... Perhaps I should clarify - I already have an MBA 2012 i7 2.0 with the ram maxed out to 8GB. When at home, it's hooked up to a 47" LCD 1080p TV which I have setup as an extension of the onboard screen. Very nice for academic study! I didn't want to upgrade incase it resulted in a more clunky system. But from what

  • L5 on Macbook Air (MBA) 2012

Quick question: Has anyone tried L5 on an MBA? I'm interested to know how it compares performance wise to L4. Thanks.

  • Re: Notes mislocating

The note I've made are simply my comments on verses or words within the verse. I have not noticed any problems with notes on extra-biblical material.

  • Notes mislocating

Hi there, I'm using the latest version of Logos 4, and I seem to have notes moving around. For instance, a number of notes that I had linked to verses in Matthew have linked themselves to verses in Ezekiel! Initially I thought it was a bug from Logos 3, but then I've notices my some of my notes that I made only last year with Logos 4 on Luke's gospel

  • Re: 2012 Macbook Air

Well, I have had my 2012 MBA for a week now, and while Logos4Mac is much more responsive, it's still lacking the performance I've enjoyed on my Windows machines. But first some specs: Old 2010 MBA: 1.4Ghz dual core, 2GB ram, 128GB hard drive. Scoring around 2000 on the Geekbench test. New 2012 MBA: 2Ghz (boosting to 3.2Ghz) dual core i7, 8GB ram, 256GB

  • 2012 Macbook Air

I'm wondering if anyone has put Logos on a new 2012 Macbook Air, and if they can comment on the performance? I've looked at the benchmark test results, and according those, the new MBA wont be any comparison with my 2010 MBA 11" scoring just over 2000 on the Geekbench test, and the new one scoring from 6300. I've also looked and the specs, and there
Maybe for Jason it's worse; for me it's an interesting feature to hold the window on top until I want to release it.
It's just annoying having floated windows one way for so long to all of a sudden stop working. It would seem the only thing consistent about Windows is it's inconsistent. It appears to be a problem that is

  • Float Window problem

Hello, I have a problem very similar to this one - http://community.logos.com/forums/p/12308/96020.aspx Except... If I float the tab via the right-click pop-up menu, all is well. If I float the tab via the top left drop-down menu, I then cannot access the main Logos window. I need to dock the tab, or minimise it before I can access the main windows

Another update, and no improvement... :(

I updated Logos4 on my MBA this morning and it's working fine - apart from the excessive CPU usage when typing notes. No crashes or hang ups to that effect.

  • Re: Taking notes and big CPU usage

Well, given it's the only application that sends the CPU usage through the roof when I type in it, I'd suggest there is a problem that does need to be addressed. I ask my MBA to do much more complicated tasks, and it doesn't require that much processing. I'm suggesting this is one issue Logos should look at. Just as Logos needed to go back and look

  • Taking notes and big CPU usage

Again, I have to congratulate Logos for their latest version of Logos4Mac. It's just wonderful on my 2010 MBA. I'm also happy to see the lagg with taking notes is no were near as bad as it is on Windows. I do have one small problem. When I type notes, the CPU usage goes through the roof eating up my battery. Surely the saving of text doesn't need to

  • Re: 4.3 (v4.30.0.1517) available

My congratulations to Logos. Version 4.3 mac is now tolerable on my MBA. It's much more responsive than 4.2, and ism noticeably less demanding on the CPU (as measured with iStats). I no longer need to use Logos for Windows ... on my Mac ... unless I'm actually on my PC. hmmm, I think that's right... Anyway, thanks for your persistence and hard work

  • Re: Anyone running L4 on new MBA?

Good point. I bought mine 5 weeks before the new one with the backlit keyboard came out. I just had a quick play of Logos4Mac 4.3, and it is much more responsive than 4.2. I can now stop using Logos4Windows on my mac!

1.4 Ghz, 2GB, 11" here. I've been disappointed with the Mac version, so installed Virtual Box, WIN XP, then Logos4Windows. Incredibly it was much more responsive! I also have iStats and it showed Logos4Mac sending the CPU usage through the roof, and the pop-up menu took at least 3 secs to appear. Logos4Windows was much kinder to the CPU, and the pop

  • Re: Logos 4 running slow on mac...

G'day, First of all, I love Logos4. I've been using it on my PC (3.16Ghz Deul Core, 4GB ram) for over a year, and my only complaint has been with the delay when typing notes. I've found it really snappy to use once it's loaded. Recently I purchased a MacBook Air (11", 1.4Ghz, 2GB ram, 128GB HD). This is my first Mac. I am, (was?) a diehard PC guy Now

  • Re: Delays in Note

I'm experiencing the same problem. Though I'm not using a beta version. It seems to depend on the size of the file. Given I'm doing all my notes in L4, these files get pretty big really quick. It's really annoying when your poor at typing, and have to wait for L4 to catch up to see the inevatible typo. I had thought if the delay was from uploading to
