I'd be interested to know what using Logos is like on an iPad Pro. I can't imagine the mobile version of Logos could be slow, as well. There's even less tolerance for slow apps in iOS. Maybe this is a generational thing. What's the average age of a Logos user? Like one user said, speed is relative. What's fast for one user might be slow for another

Hi Dave, Thanks for responding to my post! You're right, it's not about having fast computers. Before this, I had a slow MacBook Air — Logos ran dog-slow on that, too. The Mac users I'd love to hear from are former Accordance users who now use Logos for their work—meaning they need it to perform well, within certain time constraints and
Logs?
I'm not really interested in being a beta-tester. I think what I'm asking for is a culture change at FaithLife. Make your app as fast as your competitor's.

David, DO NOT UPGRADE TO THAT LATEST COMPUTER! I did just that, spent $2k mostly because I thought a new computer would be fast enough to run Logos — it's not. A 2018 MacBook Pro Touchbar Quadcore 16GB is not fast enough to run L8 well . By "not fast enough," I mean Logos runs slower than any other app on my new MacBook. Painfully slow. Constantly

The first thing that people think of when people talk about how slow Logos is, is searches. When I mean slow, I mean the scrolling stutters, double clicks wait a second to respond, menu button presses lag, right button presses don't respond because it's thinking about something else, annoying pop-ups cover half the screen and won't disappear immediately
-
Mark B. and others, I appreciate that you've taken the time to respond! I've run at least two versions of Logos across at least two machines, with many updates in between — all slow — so I have a hard time thinking it's some wrong config on my machine. Especially with all the other complaints of general Logos speed problems. We are really

Another day, another hour wasted trying figure out how to fix something that's not working as it should in Logos. Only to get to the end of that hour and find out in a forum that this has been a problem for nearly a decade, and no one's wiling to fix it. I'm spending a lot of money every month paying off Logos, and will continue to... ...but I'm sure

Thanks, Fredc! I found it in the Mac list. Unfortunately, it's another example of how slow Logos is. Why is everything so sluggish?

Does anyone know the keyboard Shortcuts for "Prior location" and "Next location"? What I mean is, the keyboard shortcuts for arrows in the top right of the screen. Thanks!
-
Thanks, Dave! I want to be able to keyboard-shortcut-COPY a partial verse and keyboard-shortcut-PASTE what I copied plus Scripture reference. Seems like a very simple but highly useful feature. Logos doesn't currently offer this.
-
Thanks, Adam! I was wondering if Copy Citation and Copy Bible Verses used the same mechanism -- because I noticed that Logos is customizing the the font when copying citations (for instance the "Harvard" Citation Style copied the Bible text in Helvetic and part of the reference in Times New Roman) -- and I can copy partial verses when coping as citation

Good to know I'm not alone. Thank you!

Thanks, Graham! I appreciate the response. Unfortunately, CBV falls short as 1. I don't prefer CBV to be open and taking up screen space 2. I don't prefer to mouse and click around with CBV when this should be professional level software, demonstrated by more developed keyboard shortcuts for alternative copy/paste options. 3. I don't prefer being forced

In "Program Settings," when I turn on YES to Copy Citations and use some crazy RIS Style to get this: the Lord put a mark on Cain TY - BOOK TI - The Holy Bible: English Standard Version CY - Wheaton, IL PB - Crossway Bibles PY - 2016 SE - Ge 4:15 ER - how are you producing that? Are you just using the CBV tool and adding your own "Formatting Codes"

Thanks — I appreciate it. That's more steps and clunkier than I want it to be. I had another post where I said this — wondering if you know the answer: I want to be able to • Highlight a Bible verse • Hit the keyboard shortcut to copy • Hit the keyboard shortcut to paste and what appears is the verse I highlighted plus the

How do I use Copy Bible Verses Tool to copy and paste a partial verse?

The second would be fine, "For God so loved the world" (John 3:16)

Linked. Thanks!

Requesting Logos build a keyboard shortcut so that I can copy a verse and reference. In other words, I want to be able to • Highlight a Bible verse • Hit the keyboard shortcut to copy • Hit the keyboard shortcut to paste and what appears is the verse I highlighted plus the reference . I've chatted with some people on here -- the CBV Tool

So say people, of Robert Jenson. It's been a little over a year since his death. Logos has published his lesser works, but the magnum opus is missing: "Systematic Theology: Volumes 1 & 2" . If you've read it, I'm sure you'd agree that Logos ought to get it!
