• Orthodox Base Packages Discontinued

Now that Logos 7 is here, it appears that the Orthodox base packages have been discontinued. I'm not really all that surprised, since they discontinued the Platinum package while Logos 6 was still being sold. I am disappointed, but at least the resources can still be purchased individually. I hope the base packages are just being delayed, though.

Just a guess, but I'll bet they didn't have enough Orthodox resources available to rework the packages. Hopefully they'll reinstate them at some point.

  • Re: Question on Comparison of John Chrysostom Content

On a quick glance, the Nicene and Post-Nicene series looks to be more complete than the Collected Homilies version. I noticed that homilies 56-58 on Matthew appear to be missing in the Collected Homilies version.

  • Re: Ok I don't get this

It seems to me that he is already a Logos Now subscriber, but that rather than "renting" the Full Feature set he would like to own it. So he looked on the Full Feature set sale-page and selected "New to You", and it only showed one resource (which somewhat makes sense, since he's a Now subscriber). So he would like to know what he is actually buying

Are you certain you're looking at the upgrade price properly? I don't have a Platinum edition of anything. The highest I purchased of any tradition was Gold. But even still, in order for me to upgrade to the Full Feature set, I can purchase Verbum Bronze for $169.41. Anything Bronze and up includes the Full Feature set. So instead of looking at just

  • Re: Question on Comparison of John Chrysostom Content

Some of the homilies appear to be the exact same versions from one resource to the other (the homilies on Matthew, for instance.) And some of them appear to be different translations (the homilies on Philippians seem a little different). If I had to choose between the two, I would go with the Early Church Fathers series. It contains many, many other

  • Re: Orthodox Base Packages Discontinued

Now that Faithlife has affirmed that it will be releasing Orthodox base packages, I am okay with waiting a bit longer. The only thing I would have done differently, is I would have included a "Base Packages Coming Soon!" graphic when you go to the Orthodox store page. Other than that, I don't really think it is necessary to be more transparent. But

  • Re: Logos 7: A Big Disappointment

When you purchase a Logos library, "you" don't actually get a status. You get resources. You still have all those same resources when Faithlife releases a new version of Logos. You just have an opportunity to add to your current library at a significant discount. Now, as Logos develops "features", which are different than books, you would need to purchase

You can buy the feature set by searching for it in the store. Here's a link: https://www.logos.com/products/search?q=feature+set The Eastern Texts that downloaded yesterday were part of this month's free previews. The licenses will expire after a month. https://www.logos.com/now-preview-resources
My FFS is still $150 after also buying the Starter, like you. Why is there such a price difference, since we both own Starter? My discount comes out to $363 for products I own, plus $85 Special Logos 7 Savings for LN members.
I must have owned more than you, going in... My discount for products I own is $432.

Why 25% off features for LN members? Why incentivize it if useless?
I don't know that I would characterize as useless. I could see a scenario, as Mark has pointed out, where you are toward the end of your Now subscription and you've decided not to renew. If you would want to keep the Features without
I get the "savings built up" part. Been there. So .. "too long" would mean at the time the Now subscription has expired. Correct? Today you have Now and the $20 Feature Set that you own. (You own a subset. Nothing new or different.) What does the FFS cost before expiration? In other words, what's the difference? Aren't you paying
Can I view a list of what resources are new to me?
Check out the Feature Set product page. If you choose the New To Me dropdown, it will show you.

For the new library resources, you can sort it by the Last Updated. Also you can view the License Type. The Temporary licenses are the ones you are looking for. You probably have to right-click on the column names to make the License Type column show up.

The greek text doesn't seem to be showing up properly for me. I tried switching it to the font SymbolSI, which does mostly work , but it still doesn't quite look right. Is there some trick I'm missing?

I've heard it both ways (even here in Texas!). It's never really bothered me. I'm just glad they're talking about God's Word!

If you go to the regular search tab, there is a "Media" section. You can search within that section for "deSilva" and it seems to pull up these new resources.
