• Re: melody carlson bundle - disillusioned

For me the issue is as much a "math/marketing" thing as it is a "theoretical savings" issue. Today's "Inspirational Bundle," for example. If you factor in that one of the four books is available for free, the total normal purchase price of the other three on Vyrso is $17.22 ($6.74 + $7.49 + $2.99), the exact same amount as the one-day "bundle" price
Golly, Steve! Do you really mean to imply that you hold opinions that you don't think are true?
No offense taken! (Seriously!) Actually, Emile, I've expressed my opinion on Logos marketing approach before, sometimes in stark difference to their chosen method at the time. I just believe that there are very few situations
You are certainly entitled to your opinion, and I respect that. I do not apologize for pointing out the turth that Logos practices deceptive advertising. We will just have to agree to disagree on this.
I always find it interesting when someone presents their "opinion" as "truth." Not only demonstrates a certain
I would like to see the life works of Chuck Swindoll bundled and sold together in a collection. That would be pure awesomeness.
As an owner of pretty much all of the Lifeworks Libraries and a long-time fan of Swindoll's writings, I agree, Joshua. That would be awesome! That said, realistically, Thomas Nelson hasn
Does anyone have any experience with this series?
Taxee: If you Google "College Press Bible Study Textbook," one of the "hits" will take you to a page on the College Press web site where they have posted the text from the different books in the series. They are large files of page scans in PDF format, not at all comparable

  • Thomas Nelson

Rick Warren tweeted the following about an hour ago: "You heard it here 1st: Zondervan/HarperCollins is buying Thomas Nelson publishers." It will be interesting to see what impact this has, if any, on books published by Logos given their historically close relations (dare I say "partnership") with Thomas Nelson and what I would describe as a "semi-cooperative

I have it and use it fairly extensively by copying some of the shorter articles into our newsletter for Small Group leaders, letters to missions teams and others. Owning the CD/software allows you to make up to 100 copies of each article, permitted you include the basic "used with permission" footnote. Steve R.

A simple reality in business as in much of life that is all too easy to forget: There is seldom if ever just one "right" way to do things. I'm all for people expressing their opinions, and I firmly believe that Bob welcomes that and encourages that, as long as we remember and respect one thing... that it is just our *opinion.* There is no one right

  • Time for Another Breakup?

It's been quite a while since Logos broke up any of their collections so we could buy one or more of the individual ebooks. How about breaking-up the B&H Marriage and Family Collection and some similar life application-focused groups of books so laypersons and pastors alike could add some very relevant, useful and potentially life-changing resources
