• Re: The Hanegraaff LifeWorks Library [DVD-ROM] went bye bye :(

Thomas Nelson, the publisher of all the Lifeworks Libraries, took the Hanegraff library off of their "Coming Soon" web page about nine months ago. Shortly after that Christian Discount Books did likewise. Logos (who I assume was originally contracted by TN to create the library) was the last place there was any sign of life for the project since then

  • Re: What do you think of web forums instead of newsgroups?

Bob - My vote is for you to fly us all to Logos World Headquarters once a week for lunch, a personal update by you, Dan and Phil, followed by a time of guaranteed-to-be lively discussion. That said, while you guys are talking that possibility over, I like the forums just fine, although I still am not sure if I'm taking full advantage of the "benefits
2 of the 13 are the BST for the Old Testament. Which makes me wonder why we don't have this already in electronic form because the BST for the New Testament is already available.
I too would love to see the BST Old Testament volumes available in the near future. Since they are also published by IVP, maybe as

  • Re: Standard Lesson eCommentary
I once was considering buying a previous edition of this because it contained the NIV. I seem to recall that it was in Logos format though I may misremember. I do note, however, that Logos does have a bundle containing the NIV, TNIV and NIrV for $79.95.
I have the Standard eCommentaries from two different teaching

  • Re: Standard Lesson eCommentary

The 2009-2010 Standard Lesson eCommentary seems to only come as a CD packaged with the hardcopy version, (also sold without the CD). The StandardPub.com website says simply (and only) that "The CD-ROM includes both KJV and NIV versions, plus PowerPoint lesson outlines and reproducibles." There's no mention of any electronic format, (seemingly anywhere

  • Re: The Masterplan of Evangelism by Robert Coleman

Ditto! (Living Bible) I know that it's available in a different Bible software format, so there should be no problems with getting permission to do it. (Logos has published other books from Baker, as well.) Let's see how long it takes from the request in this thread until it shows up on Logos' Pre-Pub page starting... now! :^]

  • Re: Tyndale OT and NT Commentaries

This relatively new forum method of communication among Logos users is still a learning process for most, if not all of us, including Logos. Let's do what I believe the Master would have us do: stop pointing fingers and move forward, each of us committed to doing better next time.

Either way, this isn't the best (or preferred) place whether making a statement, preaching a sermon or (in the case of a different posting) getting clarification on a Bible passage. Per Phil, our buddy from Logos (found in his 6/10 FAQ posting): Are the Logos Forums a place for general biblical and theological discussions

Thanks, Dan. Message received and appreciated. Steve P.S. Did you know that you can add a picture on the Logos profile page? That gray silhouette just doesn't do you justice. :^]

  • Logos, Mac and Wikipedia

While I'm not a Mac guy, I thought I'd let Logos and maybe people out there familiar with wikipedia know that the Logos Bible Software wiki page ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logos_Bible_Software) is pretty out of date, especially with regard to the Logos for Mac product. Don't know how many people go to wikipedia for information about this product

As one who also had a posting regarding the Rejoice Software offer deleted, (which I queried about in a separate post), I appreciate that the mystery has seemingly been solved. Thanks for the insight to help me better understand. From my perspective, while I wish that Logos would just state the general guidelines somewhere (a practice of many other

Thanks to the continuing dialog in the post related to the Tyndale commentaries, including the one about the email from Dan (which I never received), I believe I have an answer and a better understanding. End of discussion from my perspective. Thanks all! Steve

One quick additional comment. In an effort to extend grace and not wanting to "cast stones," especially at our friends at Logos. If the recent deletions were done in error or determined not to be a "standard practice" going forward, I more than welcome an "oops... my bad... won't happen again" with no further explanation or justification needed and

  • Re: What am I missing?

Okay, let me simply rephrase my original query, which I don't think is unreasonable so that everyone understands the parameters of this relatively new forum: Logos - What are the guidelines as to what type of postings are unwelcome or inappropriate and subject to deletion? Just really seeking understanding, honest, not trying to cause trouble. Thanks

  • Re: What am I missing?

I certainly don't want to be rude, but to me the ultimate in "rude" is the, at times, recurring "theological" discussions on the Logos forum (and previously in the Newsgroups) that were never touched even after Phil clearly and repeatedly stated that Logos was not the place for those. I, like the others who posted links, including the Amazon and IVPress

  • What am I missing?

I've been following the post on the Tyndale commentaries, which includes the discussion of the price from IVPress, Amazon and anticipated in Pre-Pub from Logos. However, I noticed that my reply and the reply from at least three other people about a recent email from a software company that starts with Re" and ends with "joice" about their price have

  • Re: Oh no.

I have two fairly simple suggestions to Logos (and for comment by others) that would, hopefully, help with the challenge of sudden, short notice shipping dates: 1) Be more deligent and detailed on the accuracy of the status of items on the Pre-Pub page. As a very recent example, I ordered the nine volume R. Larry Moyer Evangelism Collection back in
