  • Re: How do I purchase a Logos 4 Platinum Upgrade from Scholars Library Gold?

They work on commission? Hmmm....I didn't realize that. I'll have to make sure I make sure I buy from the people that answer my questions in the future :). Thx!

  • Alpha 21 Can't Quit Normally? Have to Force-Quit?

Anyone seeing any problems with Alpha 21 where the normal quit doesn't work and it yields the spinning beach ball of death? I have to Force-Quit my way out of the application.

It isn't a crash. I just can't exit correctly. No matter how long I wait the spinning beach ball is there. When I go to the Force Quit Applications, it says Logos has stopped responding. Do you still want me to collect the stuff and post it?

I don't really have Cited By or Floating windows or anything "special". It's the normal layout I use for my reading plan which is reading through the bible. I didn't have this problem last week with Alpha 21. It just seems to have cropped up for me the last few days.

There's an old saying if you don't take care of the customer someone else will. It's ranked #17 with 165 votes right now. I'm rather hoping if it keeps moving

I found the link with the directions where it says to download the iPhone app (already have it) and then it shows you logging in and the Free Book Preview is there...except I don't see any free book preview. The link there takes me back to the iPod giveaway. How do I actually get to the book to look at it?

I'm disappointed in the handling of this as well. It seems a fair number of people voted for that feature and ignored. I'm not sure what to make out of it other than it sounds a lot like my opinion doesn't really matter. It seems to me if you have enough people voting for it that it might be a reason to rethink your position and it looks like it was

It seems to me that Bob could have posted you can already do this via "turn off Internet access" as opposed to commenting on it and marking it complete. The fact that he marked it complete suggests to me he isn't listening to it or has already decided he doesn't care to do anything about it regardless of votes. This sounds a lot to me like there isn

  • Re: Disappointed

I was under the impression that Logos wanted input via the uservoice page as to what was important to people and others could vote on it if it was important to them. The page shows what users (at least some of them) are interested in. There are other features with higher votes that don't appear to be accepted either. It would seem to me the answer was

It would be better to have a subcategory within "done" to indicate "rejected". But at least in the test period

What demands are people making? I'm saying it was closed where it doesn't make sense asking for an explanation and suggesting it could have been better handled doesn't seem outrageous to me. Are you suggesting that I'm not allowed to vote either or disagree? Your argument of "only" 100 votes is silly because its been closed, no one knows how many votes

It's unfortunately Mac-ish too from what I've seen. I've had a number of resources that wouldn't ever get populated in the Mac version. Every time I started it, I could see it downloading but it'd never appear. I've had to follow the instructions to delete everything on the Mac and reinstall twice so far to get all of my resources. That said, I do have

Having watched the evolution of MAC OSX from 9->10, I'd have to say each progressive version is getting worse in terms of stability much like Windows was where you stuffed a ton of features in it. I have to admit that while I still like my MacBooks, I don't pine for it as much with Windows 7 as that has been significantly more stable for me and I sort

What didn't work? The update command or uninstalling and reinstalling? If you're uninstalling there's like 3 or 4 different places you have to delete stuff from to uninstall it. ETA: Here's the uninstall instructions: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/15434/117757.aspx#117757 ...and its a pain to do :).

I have the 15" version of your machine. 2.4GHz MacBook Pro and 4GB RAM. I'm running Logos 4 Mac Alpha 19.1 and it has been fine for me performance-wise except for when it is indexing. When it is indexing it'll sometimes slowdown for me when I'm scrolling text, but its been much improved over the last few betas.
