• Re: Too many commentaries on sale right now

I'm with you, John! I'd be all over several of these but my budget just can't take it all at once. So, so grateful to have access to any of them at all, though. To be able to afford Logos at all puts us in a wealthy minority (in comparison to the whole world - though of course, to be in relationship with Christ is our true wealth). Praise God!

  • Re: What happens to my Logos / Verbum when I die...?

Hey Brian! 1. I'm not entirely certain on how this works but I do know you can transfer resource licenses as long as you transfer them in the same bundle you purchased them in (you cannot sell the license to a single book if you bought it in a bundle but only want to sell the one book). It looks like at least at one time it was only possible to transfer

  • Re: How do I see how many pages a book is?

Ah, thanks, that's very helpful. I forgot that was there. If anyone knows how to do this in Logos or if it's possible, that would still be helpful.

  • How do I see how many pages a book is?

Hi all, How do I see how many pages a book is without opening the book and going to the very end of it? When I create a reading plan for a book it's nice to know how long the book is so I can plan the length accordingly, but I'm having trouble figuring out how long books are without opening them and scrolling through. Another place this would be helpful

  • Re: NIVAC now on sale

Nice! Thanks for sharing this! I picked up Exodus and Ezekiel as those two are rated quite highly: https://www.bestcommentaries.com/topseries/

  • Add to Clippings switches my window to Clippings

Hi all! I typically will use the "Show reading view" feature when reading some of the books I'm going through. I like to take clippings while I'm reading. My problem is that when I create a clipping, the window switches from what I was reading to the clipping file. That's driving me crazy as I then need to switch back to what I was reading. I'd like
Please elaborate on Personal Book (PB) indexing loss understanding (or provide an example).
Weird, I typed up a response to this earlier today but it disappeared into the ether somewhere. Functionalities was not the right word. What I had intended to convey was my experience in entering Personal Books

  • Re: Logos Reset
Notes can be removed by deleting the Notes Documents that contain them
It looks like you can easily clear all of your documents (clippings, notes, prayer lists, etc.) by going to documents.logos.com and at the top right selecting "Select all" then "Delete". I don't want to test it because I don't want to lose all

  • Re: Logos Reset

I'm assuming uninstalling and reinstalling Logos wouldn't do this, as everything gets synced to the cloud?

  • Re: Non-Logos Ebooks

    Graham nailed it.
Can a non-Logos ebook be used in Logos?
Yes, but it needs to be converted from whatever format it's in into a docx file. There are programs and websites that can do many file type conversations so I would just check what format the book is available in then see if you can find a way to convert

  • Re: What would you tell your younger self about Logos?

Thanks all for your incredibly helpful and well thought out insights. I learned a lot from this post and am so thankful for all of your answers. LearnLogos.com is something I did not know about and has already been tremendously helpful. Many other quick tips have been super helpful as well, and I find the "eggs in one basket" conversation very interesting

  • Re: Personal Journal for 2018

This could be read two ways, so I'll answer both. 1. If you want to know how to get this file to input as a daily devotional, it already is. When you open it, it will open to the day it's on. 2. If you want to know how to format a file you're making into a personal book so it will act like a devotional, you can use this DOCX file as an example. I didn

  • Personal Journal for 2018

Hi all! I've attached a DOCX file originally created in 2014 by DominicM (thank you!!!) for those of you who, like me, want to journal within Logos this year. Just download it and create it is a Personal Book. It is set up to use Daily Devotional formatting so that it opens to whatever day it is automatically. The box size is not dynamic and will not

  • Re: Please share your reading plan(s) for 2018

I am planning on reading "The Songs of Jesus: A Year of Daily Devotions in the Psalms" throughout the year. I have also planned out this month to read "How to Read the Psalms" and "Prayer: Experiencing Awe and Intimacy with God". I'll see how that goes and if it goes well I'll do another book or two next month and so on. I will probably just jump throughout

  • What would you tell your younger self about Logos?

Hey all! I am a few months into using Logos now and it's so feature-rich that I'm wondering if I'm missing out on doing something or if I'm doing something in a less efficient way than I could. As we enter a new year, I think it's time to gather some knowledge from those who have been using Logos for a longer time than I. If you could tell your younger

  • When you can't find a book?

Hey all, Just wondering - what do you do when you can't find a book on Logos or Vyrso? There's a few books I'm looking for that I can't find on either, though I'd love to have them indexed and be able to set up a reading plan for them. What are my options?

  • What resources are used in a course?

Hey all, Is there a way to see what resources are used in a particular course? I know it suggests a particular base package, but I was wondering if there's a comprehensive list of what materials each course they'll reference.
