  • Evolution and sin.

I am very interested in how those who do not accept the traditional literal view of Genesis, treat the role (if any) of God in the process of evolution, the appearance of man on the earth and especially the concept of the entrance of sin. Can anyone recommend any books that are written in a fairly accessible manner relating to this topic or specific

Thanks Mark I think 256Gb SSD (plus my existing MS family subscription) could tip the balance for me. From experience I normally under estimate what I capacity I need!

Thanks Lyndon. That sounds great. I find his voice great for listening to. I treasure a set of 13 mp3s with him talking about 1 & 2 Thessalonians as well as having his Logos books. Would have loved to check in live on Zoom but the 5 hours time difference would have me dropping off to sleep partway through! That could be off putting especially if

  • Re: "Importing" a PDF

[quote user="Michael Childs"] Some pdf are just pictures of the text, not actually text. If you want to convert that to Logos Personal Book that is searchable, then you must use an OCR program to convert the PDF to actual text. I have done that on a few books. It takes quite a bit of editing of the OCR document. Nuance Omnipage is probably the best

[quote user="JT (alabama24)"]I don't think anyone here is arguing that it shouldn't be changed... To the contrary, I would guess that most of us think it is long overdue. The only question is should the change be made BEFORE the "last name, first name" issue can be resolved. For me, the answer is a resounding "no." To do otherwise would make the medicine

When I was reading sections of forum comments, I seem to have mentally conflated the comments about Carta, with comments on how beautiful the maps were when viewed on another unmentionable platform

[quote user="Denise"]I made a Personal Book of my favorite maps/charts, organized chronologically. Which is also included in the CitedBy lookup. Agreed with both danwdoo and Bruce. Something does need to be done to be able to easily access the maps. Working on the principle that you either want to be able to see where there are maps available when reading scripture or you don't, the least obtrusive thing might be a marker (like the date marker), switched on/off in bibles with the visual filter
