I received an email that explained this, but it also discussed "reindexing" to make the indexes smaller thus faster. I can not find that email and was wondering if you knew the command to make this happen. Thank you

Yeah - same here. I just canceled all of my prepubs ($2500 worth - I know, I have a problem) and not purchasing another product until I get cross functionality of utilizing the resources I purchased on 4.0 AND 3.0. That's a bare minimum deal breaker for me.
R.M. Please slow down on your actions

They are working on a script that would let you update your Logos 3 books with your Logos 4 new purchases.

I don't have anything else to say on this subject. I very clearly made my point and you demonstrated it well. Thank you.
Que the eerie twilight zone music... Ken - maybe 3.5 is a little harsh - you may be more correct than I, but I think the overall analogy stands.

Thank you for the video Robert. That was really helpful to learn how to drill down to the resources I want....but the video didn't show how to add them all into a collection to be searchable...I guess thats what I was aiming for - I don't want to individually add 100 books into a permanent collection - I would rather mass select them and do it...

I guess I was just trying to group all of my collections in one place like 3.0 This is just a fundamentally different way of thinking I think.

Am I the only one this happens to? I select a resource and drag it into my collection and then it starts me over at the top of the list alphabetically? Am I doing something wrong - or is this a short term problem?
This is sorta what I tried to do Here. http://community.logos.com/forums/p/3198/24310.aspx#24310
Excellent job brother. Thank you.
It does have potential, doesn't it? It's not all there. It needs refinement and some additions and improvements, but it can be a fine tool. Perhaps if Logos pitched this as an 'early release version' some who are a little set back by some of the functionality and a little bugginess would not be so upset on first impression
I suggested in Beta that they change the name of the product, as another Windows bible software company did, to avoid the implication that this is an upgrade. v4.0 tells us that this is the same product. An "Upgrade Now" feature on the website tells us that this is the same product.
I agree. Even though the architecture
is there info on the mathematical equations and other words to use when making collections?
excellent question - I would like to know all the formulas I have to have to operate basic functions.

I think the responses to Floyd's post are unnecessary. Unfortunately, it follows a common pattern I have observed on here and the newsgroup. The bottom line is that we are customers who have paid for a product. We all have different expectations for what we use our resources for...and it should be fine to express those expectations and even frustration

Thanks for the reply Bob. I have thousands of dollars and years invested in the system - that's why I don't waste my time making idle threats about switching to a better system (there isn't one) - of course I will be patient for a few days, maybe by then my books will be all indexed and I can use them, lol :)

joan, lol - yes - its good news that its on their radar....sounds like customer service needs to be aware of these plans instead of panicking peeps like me!!!

I hope thats not right as well, lol.. But I know when I now open 3.0 and update or use any of the other update scripts, it doesn't show my new books I purchased in my upgrade to be downloaded... Maybe doing it manually would work...
