Slight problem here folks: If you look close you can see both the exe and the dll behind the app screen in the upper left corner. You can also see Logos running on the taskbar.
Are you running the most recent version of Logos? Sometime in the past few months Logos changed their program so that it requires version

  • Re: Index of Bible Studies

A year and a half after my first version of this file, I have now created an index of the Bible studies in all the books in my library. More than 1,000 pages, with almost 40,000 Bible studies and sermons listed. Originally, the idea was to include only those resources that do not appear in the Passage Guide. However, since then Logos has implemented

Another sermon index you could use is at http://community.logos.com/forums/t/65323.aspx - the latest version is at the end of the thread. There is also a program to create a personal index of only the resources you own.

Are you talking about this thread ? The problem is that the sermons are in a Personal Book, and every time a PB gets compiled by a different user it gets a different id from Logos. (At least, I presume that is the case.) So it is not possible to create a link from my file to a Personal Book that works on other computers than mine, so I can not include

  • Re: Index of Bible Studies

I have created a new version of the Index of Bible Studies. This includes the Spurgeon, Piper and Keller sermon archives (thanks to Mark Barnes), as well as a number of other new books. So there are now over 30,000 Bible studies and sermons listed. These are Bible studies that would not usually turn up in your Passage Guide, because they are not of

It seems that the sermons on Romans 8-16, and most of Romans 7, are missing. Could you check please Mark?

I would like to complete the collection as well, and am not seeing the message on my home page - could you send the code to me as well?

  • Re: John Piper Sermon Index (for passage guide)

Mark - do you mind if I take your three semons indexes, and insert the data into my index of Bible studies? Since there is a program now to create a personal index with only the books that the user owns, even if they don't have all of the sermon archives they could still use it.

In theory, it would be possible to run the program with Mono on the Mac, it would not even be necessary to use the source code, just run the exe file. The problem however is another. The program uses the automation object that the Logos program exports, ie the Logos COM API. Maybe that does not mean anything, but it is something that exists only on

About a month ago, the strings for the Personal Book syncing became available for translating into other languages, so they have certainly been working on this.

I have added the sermons, Bible studies and meditations from some other books, and have attached a new version of the file to add as a personal book, Index Bible Studies.docx The problem with this file is that if you do not have the same books that I have, you will find a lot of links to books that are not in your library, which makes it more difficult

  • Re: Does this book exist?

The apparatus at http://community.logos.com/forums/t/46696.aspx could be helpful in finding the earliest manuscripts as well. The online version at http://www.laparola.net/greco/ is better still, as you can choose to list the witness in chronological order, and hover the mouse over the witnesses to see their dates.

The book you want is A Textual Commentary on the Greek New Testament by Metzger, who was on the committee that produced the NA. He even says when the members of the committee voted for different readings, and their reasons for doing so. The book talks about the 26/27th edition, not the 28th, but most of the information is still valid, but they used

  • Re: how to put this collection to use??

I have indexed almost all of these sermons at http://community.logos.com/forums/t/65323.aspx?PageIndex=2 ("Almost", because I did not do all the 100+ sermons on Psalm 119, but in three groups.) So when you are preparing on a particular passage, you can easily see if there are any sermons on that passage.

I have added some more books to this index, the new file is attached. 8132.Index Bible Studies.docx This file includes all the non versified commentaries that I have, that is commentaries that do not show up in the passage guide. With all the Classic Commentaries and Studies that have come out in the past few months, there are quite a lot of them. I

The 200 volume Bible Reference Bundle has now lost its dynamic pricing, as has the 179 volume Upgrade unlock, but strangely the 501 Book unlock still has dynamic pricing. So for me at least the Upgrade, which contains only a part of the full 501 unlock, costs more that the 501 unlock. I thought it might be because the Word Biblical Commentary is no

I'm just going through all my resources, and creating links to all the discussions of passages I find. How I do that depends upon the type of resource: daily devotionals, books of sermons, etc, just require going through each devotional/sermon and adding it. Systematic theologies I for the most part avoid (although there are exceptions). For others

However the Ewald book ("Revelation: Its Nature and Record") is a strange inclusion in the collection, it is not about the book of Revelation at all but about the doctrine of revelation. Whoever wrote the description of the book on the product page had not looked very much at the book!

I have updated this file, a list of explanations and comments on Bible passages that would not be picked up by the Passage Guide. It includes all the books in the Logos 5 Platinum package that have such explanations, and many others beside. There is a complete list of books included, sorted according the package they are in or where I got them from
