• Logos4 will not install McGee library

I recently obtained a copy of the J. Vernon McGee Electronic Bible Study Library . It is actually a Logos2 disk, but it installed into Logos3 as well, and I synchronised licenses. I am able to view the books on www.biblia.com and library.logos.com, so the Logos servers know that I own the book. However, there is no way that I can get it to install in

  • Bug?: update resources on the toolbar does not work

If I type update resources in the command line box, and then drag the command to the toolbar, a button appears with the tooltip "Update resources", as it should. However, when I click the button, Logos actually executes the update now command, not the update resources command. I see it is the update now command, because it finishes almost immediately

Sorry, I wrote the wrong one. I did in fact mean the update resources command, which (maybe) should take 10-20 minutes but is instantaneous in my computer.

Is it still true that the update now command takes 10-20 minutes? It used to for me, but it does not any longer, it is almost instantaneous. I thought they might have improved the performance in one of the updates of the program. But if it should take >10 minutes, that might explain another problem I am having. I bought the McGee library for Logos 3
If you read this, would you mind providing instructions for how you did this with the program?
It was not as simple as I made out. First of all, the program can't import this type of OSIS file (that uses paragraph markers as the structure with the verses indicated as milestones, rather than using the verses as the

Almost... I ran the downloadable text and XML files through the LaParola program (see my signature), and with that I can pick up words that aren't used in any other English translation in the program. This is better than using a spell checker, because it doesn't flag all the names (like a spell checker does), but it does show the names that are wrong

I have gone through the notes to the text now, and have found some more errors: Mt 23:13 (first note) { should be ( Lu 2:36 Liteally should be Literally Lu 17:20 obeservation should be observation Acts 24:6 addtional should be additional Rom 16:1 Phobe should be Phoebe (at least, that is how it is in the text of that verse) 1Thess 5:8 (twice),11; 2Thess

Yes, it was James 5:10. I missed some more however: Acts 19:13 iterant instead of itinerant 1Cor 1:16 maybe Stephanus; in 1Cor 16:15,17 it is Stephanas Eph 6:11 strategems instead of stratagems Rev 9:11 maybe Abbadon; almost all other English versions have Abaddon, and the critical text that LEB says it follows has Ἀβαδδὼν (although the Byzantine text

The LEB site does not have a contact address, so I'll mention it here, hoping that someone appropriate reads this. Luke 2:44 has acquantances instead of acquaintances Luke 12:1 has Pharisess instead of Pharisees John 6:12 has satisified instead of satisfied Acts 17:23 has observeing instead of observing James 15:10 has perseverence instead of perseverance

The Ways of God does cost $48 by itself, but you can get it for $40 (a 17% discount) in the Biblical Theology Set - and you get two other books thrown in as well!

  • Favorites in Logos 3 and Logos 4

One feature I miss in Logos 4 is my old favorites - I had all my books categorised in Logos 3, so if I wanted to look for a book on a particular theme I just had to look up the category in my favorites. Not only are these favorites not copied over to Logos 4, but according to the "missing features" page there is no plan to do it in the future either
