I would like to know whether its possible for some of us who work as programmer to access logos via API, if its possible we can even write our own interface or a Linux client.
-
Wine has improved quite bit over the years, a lot of software and even heavy duty games can now run under Linux.
-
One thing I would like to see also is to allow user to define printing layout based on more than one resource, For example, users can generate Study Bible like format by having the Scripture Text on the top and commentaries below, this is very useful when leading a bible study.
-
John MacArthur also recently released an updated version to his Study Bible... Hopefully, we will be able to get it into Logos soon as well!
-
I think my highest wishlist for Logos at the moment will be the availability of ISBN, this will allow us to integrate our collection with our physical books. If Logos can even integrate with LibraryThing or GoodRead, that will be the best!

Thanks for the replies... I am just throwing an idea here, is it possible for Faithlife to include a self tagging/referencing tool in Logos so we can tag our own resource (or share to the community like notes and highlights), crowdsourcing referencing could be the way for the future.
-
Hi Guys I recently brought few eBooks from Faithlife eBooks, but for some reason, it doesn't seem to be indexing the way Logos been indexed... The only reference links generated are the Bible verses, not to other resources. For example, I am reading "Lord's Support As A Means of Grace" by Richard Barcellos: I define means of grace as the delivery systems

I am so happy that after 10 years, a filter has been implemented on the new Logos website...

Hi Guys is there a way for me to search for keywords in all resource but limited to only when it's been referred to certain Bible verses or chapters in the Bible? Thanks in advance

I think I will try to re paste the thermal paste for the CPU and GPU, it was playing up on a warm day here in Sydney, so hopefully its an one off. But from a lot of comments on the XPS 15 9570, I am not the only one experiencing stability issues when under heavy CPU load.
-
Need help here, I recently got a Dell XPS 15 9570. Unfortunately, the logos indexer causes the CPU to go overheat and shutdown itself. Is there a way we can reduce the CPU utilisation or the number of cores /thread used in indexing?

But isn't the direction for identify the supporting word's relationship with the actual word that's been translated?
-
Don't know which discussion group this should be in, so I am posting this under general. The ESV has translated the word (חֶ֫סֶד) quite consistently in the OT as "steadfast love", only in few occurrences it was translated as "kindness", "loyal"... However, when you do a word study in logos, it is showing as the following: love - 187 of 245 kind - 29

Most of the modern English version are in the abridged form, the old English original of the last edition is about 4000 pages long. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foxe%27s_Book_of_Martyrs#Editions
-
Woukd love to see if Logos can join venture with https://www.johnfoxe.org/ to digitalise all four original edition of Foxe's Book of Martyrs, and provide a Morden English version of the final edition. Also the latest abridged version from Kregel is an excellent work, with full color pictures and commentary.

Hi Scott Thanks for the hint, I will check it out. What's the plan for SoundFaith, will it be another subscription based service? or eventually we can self host the recordings? I already have an Amazon S3 for our church sermon recording.
