Does anyone know what the status of improving performance is at this point?
Here is another tip to improve performance... I have a fairly high-end PC (Dell XPS 9000, i7-920, 9 gb RAM, ATI Radeon 5870, 1 Tb HD), but Logos 4 was taking almost a minute and a half to load. (Incredible!) Switching between the passage guide
For those preparing a lexicon in any language, and especially for those dealing with a form of language used some two thousand years ago, there are a host of problems resulting from indeterminacy in the range of referents, fuzzy boundaries, incomplete sets of related meanings, limitations in the corpus and background
I would add every translation is trying to render the text as faithfully as possible and the question they must ask is: What do we assume you'll know about the original language and how much should we "explain" in our translation? I think that there is an undercurrent to Francis' post that is not being addressed here. Francis, correct me if I'm wrong...
Actually underlying my post is a concern I have long had with the way ministry studies are going. There used to be a time when common mortals saw themselves as such and recognized that there were a few who

Another important consideration is the brightness of your monitor screen. I work on my PC all day long, and after 8 hours or so my eyes used to become so bleary tha I had difficulty focusing on anything - on the PC or not. So I turned the brightness down on my monitor, and although colors don't "pop" like they used to, I can now work much longer on
