• Re: How do I? What would you recommend?

James, My HD died recently and I had to go through the same exercise... I did just what you described, and it worked well... with one caveat. If you are switching to Windows 7, you should know that there are a couple of processes that do not always terminate when you close Logos 3. If you do not use Task Manager to ensure that these processes have closed
The SESB for Logos Users will be re-configured to include some of the newer materials. Might be done already (I thought I saw a copy of the new configuration at SBL), but we'll have to verify that before we change the marketing materials. I'll ask around.
Vincent, Any update on the re-configuration of the SESB
The Library function is working well and it is fairly quick and smooth browsing through the titles. The passage guide is surprisingly quick and I am delighted to see that most of my commentary sets are present and accounted for.
I'm curious to know which commentary sets you have. I have the NICOT/NICNT, Word, Pillar
The plan right now is to create a web based solution that will work on all devices, then to one by one craft specific solutions for various platforms which highlight the capacity of that particular platform. • Re: non-functioning training vids on logos.com

I've checked out the videos and had instances where the training video played immediately and others where I had to wait 30 seconds or more for it to begin playing (but it did eventually begin to play). Could the delay be caused by all the traffic on the server lately?
It would be really nice if all the Logos 4 training videos were available as quicktime videos rather than youtube vids, so I can review them offline.
Another option is to use a program such as RealPlayer to download / convert the online video to play on your PC, iPhone or iPod... RealPlayer is a free download, and
Quite frankly, the difference between having and not having the SESB and not having it is like studying in a dimly lit room with sunglasses (w/out the SESB) and then having somebody turn the light on and take your sunglasses away. I can't imagine Logos without the SESB.
That is quite a statement... Could you (or

I almost missed it, as I rarely use Facebook, but I

  • Re: New American Commentary 8 new volumes?

I had a question along the same lines... The current Gold package includes the original 31 volumes. Should the Version 4 Gold include the newer NAC volumes as well, will there be an "upgrade" available to allow current Gold owners to add the new material? What has happened in the past when new versions of Logos are launched?
No. Pages 40-419 are hidden.
Oops! I missed that obviously... just bookmarked it and moved on. Sorry for the false lead. I am just thankful for all the resources that others have pointed out here, and was hoping to be able to add something in return. I'll not be so hasty next time... Michael

  • Logos manual from Professor Bosma

While it is not obvious from today's blog on Professor Bosma's manual on using Libronix/Logos software, if one follows the "manual" link in the blog the entire 419 page users manual is available online. Choose the view mode "book" for easier reading... Michael
We are working with Zondervan right now on the plan to help existing Pradis users get a discount on the Logos editions of Zondervan's titles . Keeping in mind a few key issues: Logos editions of Zondervan titles are new products that Zondervan is paying to develop from scratch. Existing Pradis users are not losing anything

Thanks MJ and Bill for the links to these commentaries... It is nice to know that others have interpreted these verses within the same framework. And thanks MJ for increasing my vocabulary! However, political correctness has never been my strong suit (although I am working on it). To be honest, I am a bit frustrated by the popular rejection of allegory

Hi, Christian As Allen said, without meaning to stir up a hornet's nest, I would like to reply to a sincere question: The Marriage Feast of Cana When one reads Mark 8:14-21, it becomes apparent that Christ’s miracles have meaning, and that meaning can only be found allegorically. Both objects and numbers can have significance. This is how I interpret
