  • Re: Sidebar Search Feature Enhancement Suggestion

Agreed Graham. Thank you for your input but it's overkill for what I'm looking for. I was just making a product enhancement suggestion. Not looking for a work around. I'll continue to use Bible Gateway until this is remedied. 1st world problems. No worries.

It's always. It occurs on macbook and imac desktop. Indexing or not doesn't seem to matter. Highlighting a verse should not take 60 seconds either way. This is a Logos 8 phenomena. Again, used Logos 7 everyday for 3 years. This is a new phenomena regardless of how many operations the computer has going. I only use my computer for logos anyway. I'm not

Hi David. Thank you for your response. Please don't take this the wrong way as this is not directed at you bur rather I'm just thinking outloud. Since when did Logos start highlighting ALL of every resource dealing with a particular verse because you anchored a verse to your subject? That is a new phenomena and is about the dumbest things I've ever

  • Re: Sidebar Search Feature Enhancement Suggestion

No I'm not. Fuzzy search is good. I use it sometimes on my phone. Again, I am looking for exactly what Bible Gateway does. An exact search with an indexed sidebar cataloging the books of the Bible and the hits relative to each book. Fuzzy search is too much (usually) when I know what I'm looking for. I'm looking for less noise more signal.

Hello, thank you for your response. It would great if it actually did what I'm talking about. Looks good. Returns zero searches. For example, the verse I have in my head lets say is John 16:14 He will glorify Me, for He take what is mine and declare it to you. So I'm thinking... I can't remember the verse. But I'm looking for "glorify me". Type that

  • Sidebar Search Feature Enhancement Suggestion

I like that Sidebar has been added to Search feature. I confess that I normally don't use Logos for searching Scripture. When I have a phrase of Scripture in my head and I know it occurs in either ESV or NASB and I know it's somewhere in Jeremiah or somewhere in Deuteronomy I will actually use Bible Gateway because I can enter my search, click on Deuteronomy

I just realized what Logos 8 did. It highlighted Romans 1:1 in every commentary I had opened not matter how long the commentary was. Some commentaries are brief on 1:1. Others go on for pages. That's what it did. Why I cannot figure out. I anchored Romans 1:1 to the note as well as the commentary I had opened and selected a partial highlight for the

I have the exact same problem. I have to wait 30-60 seconds for it highlight. I thought this was downloaded to my hard drive??? What's the deal? On the Logos 8 training video, one of the videos won't even play. Says to make sure I'm online. Irrelevant. Logos is downloaded to my hard drive. I can watch any logos video I want provided it's not streaming

I am not a Logos novice. With over 900 commentaries I have more invested in Logos than I do my truck. I use Logos for teaching, personal Bible study and to prepare for writing papers for seminary. Anchors are great! I have over 1,300 of them in my Bible. Sometimes you'll want to use a note from outside the Scripture like a quote from Luther or Spurgeon

  • You Broke Notes

Like an idiot I purchased Logos 8 for a commentary series I wanted. If I had it all to do over again I would have never purchased. Yay, notes are searchable! Could we not have made notes searchable without ruining the simplistic design of Notes 7? Was it necessary to so utterly complicate things by taking up 2/3 of the Notes screen with information

  • Re: EEC Update

Here's my beef... Every single one of these titles had a 2018 date attached to them 2-3 weeks ago. AFTER the 30 day return policy expires for people who purchased during March Madness, the dates get removed and now they are "In Writing"--which according to Derek Brown is the first stage of the four stage process. Do you understand how that looks to
