• Re: Logos Now and Faithlife Connect: The Why

I probably shouldn't offer this since my confidence in Faithlife has been shattered into finer than baking powder. I've still canceled all my pre-publications and community pricing resources and set all my subscriptions to expire. I'm still also scaling back major future purchases with Faithlife/Logos, and I don't see exactly how Faithlife/Logos can
(I'm not going to quote Nathan's post, but that's what I'm responding to...) This is pretty much where I stand. The big difference is I have zero invested in a competing Bible study software product - either dollars or time / learning curve. So I've go to do some thinking. I love Logos: it was indispensable in allowing me

  • Re: Logos Now and Faithlife Connect: The Why

I received the news about Logos Now and Faithlife Connect at the end of last week, and I wanted to wait and prepare a response concerning it after I had a chance to read through other customer’s responses and Bob’s response, as well as spend more time researching and reflecting on Faithlife Connect in order to offer as objective of a response

  • Re: Can some Accordance users help me?

Originally my goal was to have all my content in Logos if possible. I even wouldn't heavily use resources I couldn't get in Logos (such as web-based resources). Now that I've moved to Nota Bene for my academic word processor and store all my citations in Ibidem, I've broadened my sources since I consolidate all my research in Nota Bene now. In terms

  • Re: Can some Accordance users help me?

I'd like to throw in a few additional thoughts here. First of all, as I said before, I use both Logos and Accordance (as well as WORDsearch) in my Bible study workflow (the only program I'm not using yet is BIbleWorks since I haven't been given a solid reason on why I need to add it to my Bible study toolbox at the moment). I've also invested more money

  • Re: Can some Accordance users help me?

I own Accordance and use it interchangeably with Logos. I even crossgraded some of my Logos resources to Accordance when I needed to fit them into my Accordance workflow (and I plan to crossgrade more resources into Accordance over time). Here are some of the benefits of Accordance over Logos: 1. Way faster at searching. I've ran Accordance and Logos

  • Re: No NEW Journals - why not?

I decided to cancel my Pre-Pub at the last minute. After additional careful examination of 3.1, I've decided to back out and stick with continuing to subscribe to Galaxie directly. 3.1 is already a little out-of-date on some of the journals I use most often, it doesn't contain some of the journals I use most often (such as JETS), and it contains some

  • Picture in Picture Support for Videos on Logos for Mac

It would be great if Logos for Mac (as well as other Faithlife library apps) would offer Picture in Picture support on Macs running Sierra or later. Sometimes I might want to watch a Logos Mobile Ed course while I perform some other work, and keeping a PIP window with the video open would be super handy. Thanks!
trinity NEAR classical, relational got me some results (look for resources with three or more hits).
Thanks. I'll try it.

  • Search Question: Models of the Trinity

If I needed to read an overview article on the Classical model of the Trinity and another overview article on the Relational model of the Trinity, what would be the best way to run the search in Logos? I've already read a book on the debate from Zondervan Counterpoints a while back, I just need to refresh my memory on a summary of the two models (and

  • Reading through CSB17 in 2018

I'll be reading through the 2017 CSB in 2018 starting in January. I created a group reading plan on my Community Study Bible group which should be appearing soon (see: https://faithlife.com/communitystudybible/activity ). People are welcome to join it and read through the 2017 CSB in 2018 and share any insights and observations to the Community Study

  • Martin Luther Guide Temporary Book

A Martin Luther Guide to his writings eBook was unlocked in my library as a temporary license. Anyone else receive it? I'm not sure how I received it. It happened last week after the other L-N perk books were unlocked. Thanks!
This also shows up on my iPad Pro in the Logos app after the iOS 11.1 update...
Mine is an iPad Pro on 11.1 as well. I updated to 11.1 about the same time I did the app reinstall with my account, so maybe it is an 11.1 issue.
I don't see how they could be related, despite the visual similarities. Have you tried killing the app and restarting your device? Does this happen only with this resource?
I wasn't sure if they were related or not (I just posted the article "just in case"). I have tried killing the app and restarting my iPad. Same

  • Weird Text Bug in iPad App

My Faithlife/Logos email changed recently. I deleted the iPad app and reinstalled it so I could sign in with my email address change. After doing so, there's a weird text issue displaying in the upper right corner of the screen. Here's what it looks like: It kind of looks like this, so I wonder if it's an iOS 11 glitch? https://www.macrumors.com/2017
Something just occurred to me... If access to VT, NT, HTR, HUCA, CBQ, STJ, Interpretation, and other scholarly journals is just never going to happen in Logos, is it possible that FL could establish itself as an entity through which we can access these journals online through established channels?
Thank you Mike! I have two quick questions 1) What is ETS? I apologize for my ignorance on this 2) I own only a few journals but I would like to start diving into more. Will there be smaller packages I can purchase so I can move into the market for these slowly? At last look, the cheapest journal bundle for me is around $450
