Here's just another example of what I find . . .
Just an update, if it assists sorting this out . . . I've "cleaned up" some additional replications of Notes and presently work with Use Internet turned OFF. When work is completed, I update my Layout, then Close All, then Sync Now. To this point, by not allowing L4 its continual updating, I have not encountered the massive
We are actively working on it, but I can't promise a particular date yet.
Thanks for the update! I've used PBB consistently to share teaching materials with our (Logos enabled) ministry team, can't wait to be up to speed with L4!
Hi Jerry, I've passed a link to this thread on to someone at Logos who can follow up on it. It's beyond my ability to debug what's going on. Thanks for taking the time to get the log files, though. I hope they can get this sorted out for you.
Rosie, just wondering if you've run across any news on this note replication

Here's a capture of Mirriam Websters 11th Ed. Dictionary with some characters not properly displaying. Suggestions on what I should check or reset?
If you are running Win XP this thread could maybe solve your problem: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/7514/59403.aspx#59403
Thanks, running Windows 7 . . .
-
Thanks Melissa . . . seems like it's a wait and see situation. Meantime, back at the ranch, I'll just continue to work Offline and only Sync when everything is closed!

So when did this come out . . . I'm subscribed but must have missed it . . .

I use Notes extensively to add info and references to Bible verses and have been apprehensive about using the "Remove Duplicate Notes" option without some more details (and, I've seriously had "duplicate notes"!). Scenario: I create a note, e.g., Cf. Num 25.10, "some stuff about this," followed by a hyperlink to a Journal Article This same note applies
-
I understand. We took a very simplistic approach with "remove duplicate notes" in SR-3 so that we could have it done in time. (But we spent a good amount of time reviewing the changes to make sure it was only removing notes that are byte-for-byte identical with other notes.) Unfortunately, the simplest and quickest thing
Jerry, I don't know if you caught this or not, but here is an interesting post by Bob and user responses on this topic. http://community.logos.com/forums/p/24189/180574.aspx#180574
Thanks, I'd missed that, and I certainly appreciate what was noted. For me, I'm not too worried about the update of material, I'm interested

I use lots of "Notes" and noticed in my NASB95 Bible the Notes from the chapter also show in the Chapter Heading (see image). Typically Notes attached to Verse 1 get attached to the Heading/Pericope, but in this Bible it seems to catch all the Notes of the chapter . . . any thoughts or is this just a formatting issue with the NASB95?
-
I'm watching this too . . . been trying to come up my "electronic Bible" for quite awhile and just can't find the right combo for power and size. Since ALL study is now done in Logos, it's tough leaving the desktop/laptop behind . . .!
-
Scenario, I have a large notes file, and regularly add to it with annotations hyperlinked to Logos resources, plus, I link external PDF and Word documents to Bible verses and Dictionary Heading Words, etc. As many others, I work on a desktop unit and a laptop unit (not simultaneously) and let Logos sync the Workspaces, Note File, etc. I regularly find

Thanks for the thread . . . sounds familiar . . . I'll "hangeth in there" and look forward to the next step.

I'm one who uses the Journals continually. They offer great resources in "specifics." Whereas the commentaries move through the text, a journal will delve into key issues and particulars that commentaries just don't have the time/space to explore. I speak/teach every week and they're part of every study I do! Highly recommended, needless-to-say, I have

Any guesses when "Ephesians: An Exegetical Commentary" by Harold W. Hoehner, Baker Academic might be available in Logos format?
-
I love the quick and easy way to link my blog to the great articles in Bible Study Magazine . . . but, I have a "link" question. I want the link to open in a new page. Using the typical target="_blank" code doesn't seem to work, and I confess I'm weak in coding . . . any suggestions much appreciated. Jerry
-
Thank you very much! I'd been checking StillTruth and the link there is inaccurate. I'm looking forward to get back into PBB, what a great tool and your Builder-Builder makes it much easier! The Lord's best to you! Jerry

A special thanks to Dave Kaplan for his great service! My best commendation is my recommendation of Dave to all I work with regarding Libronix. Thanks Dave! Jerry Smith
