Layouts-I have three or four different activities that I use logos for, quickly being able to switch between layouts is a fantastic timesaver. Visual filters – when I'm working with original languages the ability to build filters based on morphologies is extremely helpful.

Unfortunately that only populates the card front, the gloss and the lemma have to be filled in manually. Additionally if I want the card front to have something more than a single word, I have to fill it in by hand (front-τά,τῶν,τοῖς,τά gloss-definite article, neuter, plural). Since it has the ability to export to a

It is possible to export a word list to different types of documents, is it possible to import different documents into a word list? I'm referring to external documents, not other word lists.
-
Is there a desktop program that is analogous to the logos flashcard app?
-
Yep I figured that since the VF was a search that there might be a way to export it to a passages list like you could with a regular search. Thanks

I would like to create a passage list from all the hits of a visual filter. What is the easiest way to do that in Logos 8?
-
I see the same pattern on my screen when opening logos, but not nearly the time delays that you are seeing.

You might also benefit from a greater understanding of some of the tools provided. I would recommend either https://www.logos.com/product/40499/greek-for-the-rest-of-us-2nd-ed or https://lexhampress.com/products/148891/biblical-greek-made-simple-all-the-basics-in-one-semester?utm_source=blog.logos.com&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=learngreekandlogos

I emailed the day after blog post, and aside from a canned response have yet to hear back from anyone in sales.

Ok, I added the column, and it shows which devices have which books, but when I try to sort by the devices column, Logos crashes. I need to enable logging and submit the logs.

I remember my first VMWorld conference back in 2005, I normally find these types of events all marketing hype and a waste of time and money, but as I checked out the course reviews I found lectures being given by the actual engineers that had developed the product. That really impressed me, and VMWorld is one of the few events that I still attend. What
that's just the VF and no notes - which expand it more
Now the community highlights wouldn't show the results from our VFs would they? Nice work Dominic, but a little too busy for me to teach from

As I have followed the discussion on community highlighting I started wondering how useful this would be in Bibles if/when it is implemented there. For instance anyone looking at my ESV in Logos would be overwhelmed by a rainbow of color and a plethora of symbols. I teach a SS class from my iPad and instead of lecture notes, I use highlighting to remind
Thanks for the full post, Bob (and for the unexpected mention!). I think only two things are required for meet the vast majority of users' concerns: Making sure that having "Send Feedback" set to "None" means that no tracking in done within the desktop app (no search results collected, no highlighting aggregated, and so on
My issue is more with user choice. Personally until I saw the negativity toward users concerned about it, I was quite indifferent. However after getting the catchall Logos response of turn off internet and lose functionality that goes with it when I asked about an opt out feature, it became a bigger issue.
+1
Terry, forgive me that I am confused. I do not understand what you do not like.
Moving the "Documents, Guides, Tools and Layouts" off of the menu bar :D

I also think that bringing 'Documents, Guides, Tools and Layouts' onto the main title bar along with their display enhancements is an improvement. In general I give it the thumbs up and I expect there are more refinements which we will see in the future.
This is the part that I first

Ok, finally got through and it was a productive phone call. I have been choking on the upgrade prices for my scholar's gold collection, especially since the web site upgrade page only said that I was getting 3 new books :-( Caleb was able to adequately answer all of my questions and give me a list of what I would really be getting for my money. While

If I have to listen to the canned sales pitch that is their hold much many more times, I may be driven to self harm!
