  • Re: Preparing your library, this may take awhile...

I am doing a fresh installation on my new laptop. Currently "Preparing Your Library" is at 6+ hours and going. I will wait for at least 14 hours before doing anything drastic. On my desktop with a SSD drive the process only took 3 hours. The laptop hard drive must slow the process more than I realized. Makes me appreciate the SSD drive.

  • Re: For the Nth time: the crossgrade option will be coming but isn't here yet.

Russ, I agree with you 100%. I currently have 6,610 sources in my Logos library. I have been spending between $100-$200 each month on new books. I am trying to decide if I want to cancel all of my future orders. They total up to $4240.59. I am seriously considering never buying another Logos book!

I am also having the same problem. I suspect it is a Logos server problem.

  • The Works of Samuel M. Zwemer

It looks like this 18-volume set will come in soon at $30. If you have any interest in reaching Muslims with the gospel of Jesus Christ, bid on this set. If you are a missions major in a Bible college or seminary, bid on this set.

I am in at $50. I refuse to pay exorbitant prices for books that are in public domain. I only pay exorbitant prices for books that are still copyrighted.

I'm in at $50. At this price each volume is only about 11 cents each.

I guess I can live with paying $1.14 per volume.

  • Re: Highlighting/Notes on Iphone

I was only saying that if he is running the latest app then he ought to be able to highlight. In my opinion, the ability to highlight and take notes makes the iPhone/iPad Logos app something worth using. Before this feature was added, I almost never used Logos on my iPad. Now I use it almost every day. [quote user="alabama24"] [quote user="Bill Gordon

This is the flattest price curve I have ever seen for Logos community pricing. I think we can hit $20 for the set.

I do not have an iPhone, but I do have an iPad with g3. The highlighting works great with the latest update on the iPad. You are using the same Logos App as I am on my iPad so you should be able to highlight. I highlight on my iPad as follows: First, press on part of the text that you want to highlight. The application will then select this text. Expand

The answer is that anything you send to ***@free.kindle.com will be converted for free and sent to your email account of record. There is also free software you can use that will convert books or text to the kindle format. Forum rules prevent me from posting a link to this software, but search for "calibre" on Google and click on the top result. [quote

I just did a search using Heading Text in my Sermon Illustrations collection. I am finally getting search results that I can use. Searching for "zeal" and limiting my search to Heading Text only gave 12 results. But these were 12 really good results. Searching for All Text on "zeal" in the collection gave me 230 results. Searching my entire library

I love the new “Illustrations” section that has been added to the Passage Guide. I tried it out and it looks very helpful! I have a lot of books in Logos and finding sermon illustrations used to be like looking for a needle in a haystack. This is will help a lot! Thanks!

The best thing about reading Logos books on the Kindle is the ablity of the Kindle to read them out loud with its text-to-speech feature. I have listened to several of my Logos books while driving to and from work.
