• Re: Loading Theological Journal Library CDs into Logos 4

Thanks! I'm glad I haven't deleted Logos 3 yet! I wonder why the Theological Journal Library doesn't offer the option to automatically download like other books do?

  • Loading Theological Journal Library CDs into Logos 4

How do I load the Theological Journal Library CDs that I just purchased into Logos 4? Nothing on the product description pages indicates that the CDs are incompatible with Logos 4. http://www.logos.com/products/details/3582
Kevin - I do not have a Kindle but am interested. Do you think it would be a good tool for sermon notes? I mean preaching straight from the Kindle? Jerry
I bought the Kindle DX so I could use it for my sermon notes while preaching. (The DX is about 2.5 times larger than the regular Kindle.) I use a detailed outline

I mentioned earlier that there were thousands of free books available for the Kindle. I thought I would post some links to document this claim. Link to the almost 20,000 books that you can download for free from the Kindle store using the built in wireless. http://www.amazon.com/gp/search?tag=kwab-20&node=154606011&p_36=0-0&redirect=true Link to new
I was just telling my wife that it would be nice to download Logos books onto the Kindle for relaxed reading. If this doesn't happen I'll just wait for the Crunchpad to finally come out.
It would be nice for Logos to let us download the books we have purchased from them directly to the Kindle. However, it is possible
Thanks for the "heads up." I turned on the wireless on my Kindle and it started downloading the new update.
The Kindle is a closed system. Amazon is unlikely to support reading books on it that they didn't sell you. Notice that the most common format for public domain ebooks is not supported by the Kindle (if my memory is correct)
Since I own a Kindle I don't have to guess about its capabilities. There are thousands of

  • Advanced Searching in Logos 4

I'm trying to understand how advanced searches work in Logos 4. I have created a collection of sermon illustration books. I want to search them according to topics but I can’t seem to get it to work. Any ideas? Also, where can I find a discussion on how advanced searches work in Logos 4? Thanks!
No -- you never have to repurchase a book. Your existing licenses continue to work. We'll have instructions on downloading just the engine available in the future, or you can go with http://www.logos.com/minimalcrossgrade , which is our recommended minimum to ensure you get at least the new resources that really make Logos

  • Re: Inconsistant Subject information in Library

The current state of the subject description in the library makes it almost useless when creating a collection. It appears to work until you look at it closer and see all of the books that have been misidentified. For example, look at the commentaries by H. A. Ironside. In half of them the subject classification is "Commentaries." However, the other

I found a demo version of "Julie" online and it was very impressive! Do you have any idea where I can purchase the voice? The site I found was only selling to software application developers.

I don't have a problem with the long index times for an upgrade from Logos 3 to Logos 4. Nor do I have a problem with waiting a long time for indexing to finish when I purchase a major upgrade. However, I just purchased one small book. When I clicked the merge button I got a message that said that the process could take several hours. Thinking that

I am running Windows 7 and Logos 4. The default voice (Microsoft Anna) in Windows 7 is terrible. (My Kindle has spoiled me!) What is the best voice I can purchase to get better sounding speech? I want something that will work with Logos 4.

  • Re: Inconsistant Subject information in Library

The publishers assign these tasks to assistants that may have a high school degree. It's not normally that important. However, Logos decided to add dynamic rule-based collections to Logos 4. This decision made the subject description important! Logos needs to fix the inconsistent subject information.
