More Lectionary Suggestions: I wish Logos would find a way to syncronize the Lectionaries and Lectionary Commentaries. I've used the Book of Common Prayer daily for a year before, now I thought I'd try RCL. I have N. T. Wright's Twelve Months of Sundays and Van Harn's The Lectionary Commentary , wanted to use them in conjunction with an open regular

Mark S. Windows Mark B. It worked thanks. Since you guys are the multithousand posts experts, why is it when I type "delete duplicate notes" in the command window in 6, only the option to search for that phrase comes up not execute that command as it did in 5. Not sure why, but I have dozens, perhaps hundreds of duplicate notes and wanted to take care

Strange highlighting behavior - I want to select a single word I am getting a lot of highlighting whole verses (even with smart text selection turned off) And now strange text input behavior. There are many notes of mine from reading the MSG four years ago. I made the mistake (in my mind) to tie the note to a highlighted word in the MSG rather than

Perhaps you have had a different experience but I just did that (right click remove annotations) and it wiped all out for me.

  • Re: More options in preferences

Thanks - that did it. Is this new to L6? If not then I didn't know about it because I never saw the program be so sensitive until now. I looked at the preferences but didn't see it, went too fast I guess.

  • More options in preferences

Selecting Text: In L6, when I start selecting words with the mouse, if you start at the end of a verse (last character, a period, a quote, an asterisk) and move leftward, the whole verse is highlighted. Often, the whole selecting text response is trigger happy (what's the phrase, too sensitive) So often whole verses or two verses get selected. I would

  • The book abbreviation "Kgdms" = Samuel

I saw this while in the Factbook looking up the city of Helam, it had "referred to as Ailam" and the reference was 2 Kgdms 10:16 which when clicked on went to 2 Samuel 10:16 Is this an alternate name? I did a search of the forums for Kgdms but didn't come up with anything relevant so thought I would start a new post

  • Re: Could someone help Rank the follow Commentaries

Having spent a lot of time at bestcommentaries.com it's true WBC and NICOT/NICNT are often at the top of the lists by book. But don't forget TOTC/TNTC and NAC - many of those volumes rank high there as well, overall it seems NICOT/NICNT has more top rated volumes and WBC, NAC and TOTC/TNTC are about tied for second as far as I have seen. Maybe there

  • "Automatically restart Logos" option

The reason this is important is that the indexing process sometimes takes some time, and needs so much processing power. If there were an auto restart feature, adding resources + indexing could happen at night. The indexing would then be done and a fast computer would await us when we start our day.

  • line height / line spacing in notes

Is there a way as in Word in the paragraph options to adjust line spacing? On some notes of mine that I looked at today the spacing (L5 on PC) seem to have gotten tighter and I wanted it to be not so tight.

  • Re: BUG: text comparison window w/book and ch. boundaries

There may be a more exact thread to put this in, but in Rom 9.1 the Message didn't appear at all but it does for the previous verse and the next verse. I reported this as a typo. The point here is that the TC window can show irregularities in the "flags" or whatever the programmers call that when marking and tagging the text.

  • Re: Add more pericope sets

It's been almost two years since the original post - I would like there to be more pericope sets, none of these meaning-based translations CEV, GNB, NCV, GW, MSG are there Even commentaries have them: WBC, TOTC/TNTC For our translation project, it is good to compare quite a few and then note which one might be best for our purposes

  • Re: Suggestion or Report Typo in Bible Facts

Those are all good points. I'm a complete novice at the rabinnical literature, where do I start? The thread though. Even if we don't know the names of Jephthah's half-brothers, it would be helpful to see that graphically, two different mothers. Here's Ismael's family tree

  • Suggestion or Report Typo in Bible Facts

It would be nice in the BIble Facts window if there was a way to "report typo" or "suggestion." I was looking at the Jephthah family tree (Jud 11:1-3) and while in the BIble text they mention his half-brothers, those don't appear on the Bible Facts entry for Jephthah. I would have liked to see that, that they had the same father and different mothers

This subject came alive to me when a year ago was with a Christian best friend of mine for the better part of week. We hadn't spent much extended time with each since we were both saved in the late 1970's. He's a no commentary guy, I am a commentary guy. Didn't feel like getting into the topic with him, and why? If there are learning styles, if there

That see inside table of contents tip is good. If possible my preference is that it open in Logos. It does help, thanks Graham, those are good sources for resources one doesn't own beyond reading lists. Plus I signed up for beta updates, should have done that a long time ago.

  • Does anyone know how to force opening a resource one hasn't purchased

One thing I love about Reading Lists is when you click on a link it opens a window saying "you do not have access to this resource," but the pages that are displayed are way better than what you get in the the sample scanned pages when you're browsing the store at logos.com. Is there a way to cause the program to show those better windows? (It's probably
