Hey Kevin I have both. Nothing in particular. I just need some idea of how this seaarch works. I was sort of getting the hang of it in version 3, but have forgotten a lot of the rules on placement. Any help will be apprecaited. Thanks, brother. Is it easier in open text or Cascadia?

  • Book Indexing

When I perform a search, sometimes the results arrange some books seperate and says that these books are seperate until indexing is complete. But then the same book appears in the regular of search results. Two questions: 1) why is it telling me books need to be indexed (may take several hours, it says), and why does it show some results in the indexed

Yes, it certainly does see, that it is a problem with the software and not people's hardware, as they want to claim. I do wish that Logos would fix more of it's core operation problems that it has., My Father has Logos 4 and his gets slower with every update. It has gotten so bad that he is contemplating turning auto update off, so it does not get slower

Hello: I am a bit familiar with this because I have been trying to help my father get his going. Here is what I have found. He has a Dell 1.8 Ghz. Dual Core with 3GB RAM and only a 368 MB Video. He has major lag time in his software starting and his books opening from his passage guide, about 15 seconds from the time he clicks on the title to when the

  • Smart Tag

Are there any plans for Logos to add the smart tag option back in Word 2007 in Logos 4. My Word still reconizes it but when I tell it to insert the verse, it opens Logos 3. Are they are going to make this available in 4? It is quite useful.

[quote user="Graham Criddle"] Hi Michael Does http://wiki.logos.com/Notes#Creating_hyperlinks_to_other_resources give you what you want? However, if you look at the example, their own example did not work

[quote user="Mark A. Smith"] Michael, When you CRTL-click on the notes link, does the red circle highlight appear right next to the text you selected or somewhere else? Activating a link on my computer doesn't necessarily line up the resource exactly as it was when I created the note, but that red highlight circle does direct my eye to the right place

  • Passage List

Can anyone tell me if Logos 4 has the ability to add one verse at a time to the passage list or say from the power look up tool and how to do that? I have been a user for years but never played with this feature. And is there a way to limit the power look up to just show the verses that appear in the reference box of the NTSK Thanks Michael

[quote user="Rosie Perera"]I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but if you have the NTSK open in a tab, and it's the active tab (click on it to be sure) and the Power Lookup tool is open and set to Follow the active tab, then it should display the verses that are referenced in the NTSK. The verses that appear in the reference box of the NTSK as

What I have noticed is that the power look up tool with show the verses that are shown in the NTSK, even if it is not the verse I am looking. For example, if I am studying John 14:19 , The NTSK will show cross reference verses for verses 19, 20, 21, 22, etc. you get the idea. Is

  • autos is Romans 8:16

I am trying to explain grammatically why something is translated a particular way. Can someone help me as to why the Greek word "autos" is translated in most English translations as "himself", which I prefer, versus the neuter form "itself" as the KJV has it. Thanks. Michael

  • searching the words of Christ

Hey everyone: Can someone explain to me the search string for searching only the words of Christ. For example, I am trying to find out the times in the NT where Christ said "My Father" versus "the Father". Thank you.
