  • Re: Logos 4 and an HP Pavilion dv7 with AMD turion x2 processor

Brian, You have nearly the identical setup as my dv7-3165dx. Yes it runs just fine. I wanted to upgrade my ram, but, alas, the advertising was wrong. It won't upgrade. Not to be saddened, I noticed in the forum some time back that someone said that there was not a significant difference from 4 to 8 G in the Ram. Bottom line: mine is working just fine

I will second this motion. I have used the SSA system for years. One of the best.

It's been a while. Yes, I am in MN. And I am a user. I have to get to know what a "users group" would do.

  • Re: Tyndale Commentaries fixed

Only two of my set have been updated. And it does not seem to be in a hurry to finish.

Maybe I should add: though I purchased the CD (that's all that was on pre-pub) it did download from the server. I have not yet received the CD (though I guess I don't need it).

  • Re: CP Awareness Post: Meyer's Commentary…

One thing. I will be interested in how this edition compares with the 1890 American edition. The translation was revised, the whole set was edited by George Crooks, and published by Funk & Wagnalls. Crooks makes a lot of comments at the end of each of the main sections of the commentary.

  • Re: Bible Reader has stopped working

Well, I have kept at it and found a work-around. I deleted the plan I had. i then created a new plan. I looked at it in list form, and selected the first day. For me it came up in one of my layout windows. I then reworked it to be what I wanted, and named it "Bible Reading." Then i closed it, and closed Logos (probably not needed). When I reopened Logos

  • Re: Ian Paisley on my Home Page

I believe that Mike Pettit's 7:34 a.m. reply is really the only significant one. This forum is not up for the criticism of the form of Christianity. If the resource is useful - fine. If not, then ignore it. Also, I have seen no direct or even indirect link between Norway and Dr. Paisley.

  • Re: iPad App for Sermon Notes

Though I use Logos extensively for research, I use Olive Tree for preaching, I create in Word, insert into O-T, do some simple indenting, and transfer it to my iPad. When it's there, not only do I have my outline, but all of my scripture references are hyperlinked (of course, I need the translation I preach from as part of my O-T collection).

  • Re: Interlinear Translation Editor addin?

It seems that removing the vid might be closing the door after the horse is out. Obviously, interlinears are still being produced, which means the addin is available. Since it is available, and there is interest, it would seem appropriate for Logos to consider the desires of their customers, and maybe even make some money. I'm already considering how

  • Re: Text to Speech

I have used the Windows control in Speech Recognition from the Control Panel. It will set the speed for everything read. However, I don't think it will change the reading speed while the reading window is open. You need to disengage the reader completely, change the speed, and then re-engage. At least this is what I have found. PS: you may have to exit

  • Two Missing Volumes from Exegetical Summaries

I was looking for anything on the status of the two missing NT volumes of the Exegetical Summaries, Romans 9-16 being one of them. Anyway, I read through this thread. http://community.logos.com/forums/p/37403/280451.aspx#280451 I found nothing there, nor have I heard of a possible date for completion of this series. I notice that many of the current
