I didn't change the behavior, just the messenger. The Logos 8 Notes is a tool on the Tools Menu.

  • Re: IVP Dictionaries?

[quote user="Puddin’"] I heard a professor of NT Exegesis state that the IVP OT & NT Dictionary’s are a good source. Personally, I have typically shyed away from dictionaries, opting rather for grammars & lexicons (I realize a lexicon is a dictionary). What would these sources bring to the table that I don’t already have?

  • Re: where to start with greek/hebrew?

Landon, since you already do Mobile Ed you should start with the courses for learning the language Mobile Ed produces. You should also acquire Zondervan's courses that teach Greek and Hebrew and the videos you can also acquire. That's four different instructor's (2 Greek, 2 Hebrew) teaching first year grammar which will give you a foundation for greater

  • Re: Logos 8 v 7 - Whats missing?

This behavior sounds awesome. Changing all the prioritized resources at once would be a neat feature. But where do you end? Have five sets ready to go? More or less? I have no problems changing the prioritization to fit my needs in any context quickly and decisively.

  • Index stuck at 7%

Last week index got stuck on indexing one resource at 7% so I did a full index and that indexed everything over the next 18 hours. So, some resources updated yesterday and the index got stuck at 7% again. So, did another rebuild index and now it's stuck at 7%. Logs are attached, anyone know why? 8103.Index Issue.zip

  • Re: Homepage Bug

Thanks and it might be easier to just use the reading plan itself to click on today's reading and forget the cards for now. Which I will do as a workaround until it's fixed.

  • Re: What Resources Will You Read in 2019?

[quote user="Rosie Perera"] I plan to focus on fiction in 2019 since I've been deficient in my novel diet over the past years. So many great ones, I'm not sure where to begin. And I confess that most will be on Kindle or paperback not in Logos. Right now I'm reading Carol Shields's The Stone Diaries . Other books by her are available on Noet, but not

  • Re: What Resources Will You Read in 2019?

I am always working through courses in the certificate programs and I also always do the courses I own not in the certificate program. I started the Works of Jonathan Edwards, and identified 28 Preaching resources I want to read. In 2018 I start the Great Books collection and that will go through 2019 and beyond. Reading the CSB this year and that about

My windows build number is Windows 10 Home build 1809. My logos number is beta 8.2 Beta 2 8.2.0.0004. Yes, I can share the reading plans with you, but there are older plans that stay on the homepage and the new ones that started after the first keep disappearing after the homepage refreshes.

I only make custom plans, but I think maybe I did use a plan from Faithlife for the CSB, created a mirror for the LEB also. The type of plan should not matter for the card it creates.

First, I made a plan of all the Mobile Ed certificate courses I have to do all the way out toe 2027. Next, I made a plan for 28 preaching recourses I identified I want to read. Then I am reading the complete works of Jonathan Edwards so I made that plan with those resources. Finally my bible reading plan which is the CSB for 2019. The plans I am reading

  • Homepage Bug

I made several (4) reading plans that started on or around January 1, 2019. So, I added those cards to the homepage with my other reading plans. Every time the homepage updates, the new plans get removed and I every day I add them back only to be removed again when it updates. This cannot be the proper use of the homepage.

  • Re: Knowing God by Packer

I have 22 resources of Packer in my library and of those 22 one is indeed Knowing God - 20th Anniversary Edition. I am sorry, but I don't sale or give away the library that I have been building for 11 years.

  • Re: What version of the Bible are you planning to read in 2019?

I have a list out to 2030 of what bible translation I will read in any given year, I want to make sure I get many of them in across the spectrum. I am reading CSB in 2019 and my girlfriend is reading the LEB in 2019. We are finishing up a plan in May with the ESV.
