• Re: Hebre word study with personal books?

Just to be 100% clear: you need to own BOTH the bible and the reverse-interlinear dataset. The grey box on https://www.logos.com/product/135999/interlineardatensatz-zur-schlachter-bibel-2000 makes this clear. Depending on your base package or feature set, you may already own some reverse interlinear datasets. Here are the German ones: https://www.logos

  • Re: Simple task that I seem to be failing at

I get this result in the EEC commentary on 1&2 Samuel. There it's caused by the word 'NIV84', which the word 'NIV' behaves appropriately. All the errors I've seen do seem to be related to the hovertext (i.e. I've not yet seen an error that doesn't have hovertext).

What a pain. Can't it cache that information?
Agreed It would be nice if they could cache it!
It is partially cached. When there's a visual filter, two things happen: The search is run. The highlights are applied to the resource. (1) is cached. (2) isn't. (2) is potentially quite complex

Kevin, Call Customer Services and they should be able to locate your old account. Perhaps it uses an old email address? Then they can merge your old account with your new one and your old resources will automatically download into Logos 8.

  • Re: How do I de-prioritize a resource in a commentary set?

An alternative method to doing this is to rename the series of the older volumes to something like "Tyndale Commentaries (Old)". Then you can prioritise those volumes separately. You can also rename multiple volumes at the same time. You can rename the series from the information pane in the library.
Just remember: Faithlife have not tagged the Hebrew canon portions of the LXX with person/place/thing (BK) data, when you search you're searching the person/place/thing analysis of the Hebrew text that is aligned to the LXX. Many times they represent the same entity, but there is no guarantee they will or that

Vincent, You've bumped into one of the more frustrating limitations of the Biblical entities dataset — that it's not possible to use wildcards (e.g. we can't just search for all mountains, or all places). The concordance is the workaround. In the NT we could use Louw-Nida ranges to give us a list of all places — but that's not available

The collection was only $13 on Community Pricing, but nonetheless I agree. The Early English History bundle is pretty useless for proper study, because of the poor OCR and lack of tagging. That's fair enough for those who choose to buy that (it's product page is pretty clear about what you're buying). But I don't think its volumes should be included
