When I look at the percentages quoted, I save 74% off Starter and Bronze, 78% off Silver, 81% off Gold, 85% off Platinum, and then 78% off Diamond. Would it not be best for me to buy Platinum and then Diamond? Please keep in mind that I teach English and not math!
The discount that matters

I have been looking at these, and like most base packages, they offer excellent value — especially Starter and Bronze. Previously on these forums we've discussed buying strategies for base packages . If you're going for a big package, is it cheaper to buy the big package, or buy each package in turn, working up from the smallest? I've done the

This happened when I right-clicked on a Bible reference. You can reproduce it by right-clicking on the reference to Malachi 3:8-9 here .

  • Bug: No "Open" on context menu for Preaching Themes

This bug has probably been about forever, but it's hopefully only a minor fix. When a Preaching Theme is selected in the context menu, it ought to be possible to open the Factbook to that theme, or to run a Sermon Starter Guide or Topic Guide. Currently, that's not possible.

  • Re: What are your go-to resources in Logos?

My ESV Bible, of course. My new favourite commentary set is the Zondervan Exegetical Commentary. For Greek/Hebrew its BDAG/HALOT. Bible Dictionary has to be Anchor Yale. And I'm a huge fan of the Dictionary of Bible Themes .
Having said that, it might not be a bad idea to have the Search button respect "Send searches here" in all cases, which would provide a workaround for users who don't prefer to use Inline Search.
This seems a sensible idea, that doesn't introduce any additional UI complexities.
To each his own. Personally, I would rather use "Search this Resource" from the context menu.
To me, there are two great advantages of inline search for most searches. One is that you retain formatting, markup and interlinear etc. The other is simply speed. With the search panel I have click to read in context.

  • Re: What does "study" in the selection menu do?

It looks like person tagging gets precedence over lemma tagging. That makes sense to me — for just about any name other than this one!

  • New selection menu - searching for references

If the selected text is a Bible, or other reference, I think that searching on that text should search for the reference itself, not the text. For example, selecting Genesis 6:2–4 and then clicking search performed a search for "Genesis 624" , which is obviously not useful in any way.

  • Re: 8.6 beta 1: Search option from selection menu runs Inline Search

It makes sense to me. If I'm searching on a word in a resource, then I think most often I want to see results within that resource. This is especially true in Bibles. When I want to search through my whole library, that's not usually prompted by a word I've just read (unless I want a definition for that word, in which case I can double-click).

  • Re: New Original Language Bible Visual Filters

I've suggested several times a visual filter to transliterate text (not just in Bibles, but in all resources that have original-language material). That would be a big help for most people, especially for the less well-known languages such as Syriac.
