• Re: Explanation for lemma going unreported NASB95?

Looks like a bug to me – it's there in the reverse interlinear ribbon.
I'm sorry, I've updated the release notes to be clearer. Can you clarify where you see a "Bookstore" heading? I don't know where you are seeing this. For a Reference selection there should be a featured Gude in the case of a Reference its Passage Guide near the top, and then lower in the menu (under the Look up and Share

  • 8.7 beta 2: Bug: Lemmas can be looked up in Wikipedia?

Logos is offering to lookup lemmas in Wikipedia – which will almost never return a result. This should be removed from the context menu. The same is true for the manuscript form.

  • 8.7 beta 2: Guides show up in the wrong place in the context menu

The release notes say that 'relevant Guides' should be shown in the context menu. However, when selecting a Bible reference, I can only see the Passage Guide. I can't see the Exegetical Guide or any custom guides. I discovered later that they're under the "Bookstore" subheading instead! I would also expect to be able to start workflows from this menu

To make explicit the point Phil was making, in your lexicons you had Greek Strong's selected in the reference box. Therefore only resources that were indexed by Greek Strongs showed in the Parallel Resources Menu. If you had selected the Greek lemma in the reference box, you'd have had a much longer list of lexicons, as far more lexicons are indexed

The two Logos resources that would be of most interest to you are: The Anglican Tradition: A Handbook of Sources The Creeds of Christendom, with a History and Critical Notes Creeds of Christendom is undoubtedly the biggest, but The Anglican Tradition might be more helpful depending important other Anglican sources are to you.
I made the mistake of accepting the "free Logos 8" as an upgrade; but Logos higher than Logos 7.13 is apparently incompatible with my MacBooks 2010 & 2011. Then I got the notice that I had to upgrade my OS to use Logos 8. So I stupidly did it, only to destroy my computer because it won't work with the newer Mac OS. Why
One reason I wouldn't want to see the actual style name being used is because of the length of most of my style names.
The 'More' text is superfluous, I think » on its own would do the job. Even if it has to be truncated at 8 or 10 characters, it would still help. We could always shorten our custom CBV style

As you can see, it was not obvious to me that "Styled" meant the style I had last selected with the CBV tool. Why can't it just use the name of the style?
For Logos: 8-16 GB ram, M.2 drive big enough for the OS and your Logos library. The M.2 drive is essential, everything else is optional.
I agree that an M2 drive should be the priority. But 8Gb RAM is not optional, that's essential. 16Gb is perhaps optional, but I'd recommend it if you're custom building. It's not expensive

  • Re: Methodology behind root information on Logos Bible Word Study.

The data was built by the Faithlife team. The Logos help file gives this very simple explanation: The root is the core part of a word that gives it meaning. If words are like houses, then roots are the foundation; they are what lemmas and inflected forms are built upon. For example, in English, words like biology, biography, and antibiotic are all built

  • Re: Faithlife EBooks Transition *

eBooks are put through an automatic converter that takes a publisher's digital files (the one they use for Kindle editions, etc.), and creates Logos compatible version with no human input. The converter recognises most Bible references, but not any other references. There won't be links to other resources. There will likely be no page numbers and certainly

  • Bug 8.7 beta 1: Significant regression in new context menu

In the old context menu, I could copy Bible verses in my preferred CBV format direct from the menu because the menu used to use the last-used CBV format. I can no longer do that because the menu only gives me three options, none of which I want. Please ensure the Copy Bible Reference command uses the last-used CBV formats.
However, the work by Hahn alone on Romans is in the 'Catholic Commentary on Sacred Scripture' series (CCSS). For me, it is helpful to include it for a more comprehensive examination of what people have written when working in detail on Romans.
CCSS is already included in Intermediate.
