• Crash when searching in Beta 2

I did a datasheet search for father* in my top bibles and got the following error each and every time I try. This is in Win7 Pro/64. Other searches work OK: 2009-11-29 06:18:33.6029 4 Error OurApp Unhandled exception: System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Specified argument was out of the range of valid values. • Request: Could we have a Logos Bug Tracker?

To the Logos team: Now that the Logos 'community' is more effectively engaged than ever before, could you help us further by creating a bug tracker style site? There are obviously many bugs with Logos 4, and although many of them are minor, they do all need attention. Unfortunately with the volume of support questions, and arguments about L3, there

Danlsom, Despite repeated offers of help from people in this thread you still haven't told us one thing that you could do in L3 that you can't do in L4, or don't know how to do in L4. There are people who are (were?) willing to help you make the transition. Surely it would be better to ask them than to insult them?

  • Re: Interesting Words 4.0a beta 1

In my view wordle type graphs are only useful for large bodies of text, when you want to see lots of interesting words - and even then when the words are horizontal only. If we could run this for whole books of the Bible - or even entire resources or collections - that would be fascinating. As it is, for small pericopes, they existing cloud works much

  • Re: Switching to Greek and Hebrew Fonts for Typing

Logos (rightly in my view) switched from a proprietary system in Logos 3. Now we can use existing (and better) Windows solutions for typing Greek/Hebrew, plus the very cool transliteration feature fill has mentioned. Richard's earlier post explains the simplest way of doing it: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/2341/17700.aspx#17700 If you want even
After wandering around the wasteland Morris Proctor calls "the most powerful and easy to use", and peering through this forum, along with the "features you had in the past but won't get any time soon" page, and yada yada yada, I'm hopelessly depressed. (I'm sure MP thinks he's found a way for me to take his course again, huh?
Would you mind expalining what yo ment by the "plus tab" feature?
Larry, Next to the active tab is another tab with a '+' sign on it. When you click it, it opens a new tab in two parts. The left hand part has bookcovers of similar resources. I don't find this very useful as it's often not relevant. Much more useful is

  • Re: A Plea to bring back the "Key-Link" Feature

In L4, just click the +tab next to the one lexicon that does come up. You'll then see a list of other lexicons that define that word (ignore the covers, use the list on the right). Alternatively, create a Custom Word Study Guide that only includes the "lemma" section. You'll probably find this works much better than having 14 uncontrollable windows

Danlsom. I combine academic research and teaching with regular church-based preaching. I have invested significantly in Logos and have Portfolio, plus the major academic commentary sets. I planned on keeping Logos 3 and trying out Logos 4, but I very rarely open Logos 3 now. Like you, I don't use many of the new features that are advertised (Bible Image

Darren, I'm not sure you need to - all Logos data is 'backed up' on Logos servers anyway. But if you insist, you should be backing up the following folder: %appdata%/../local/Logos4/Data/
However, all that said, if your Greek Pseudigraphia has an interlinear, then it potentially is a bug. It still could be a design feature to limit this report to 5 texts. If you re-prioritize your resources and run a BWS and it shows, then that would be the limitation. If you re-prioritize (put the Pseudigraphia first) and
Quick question: In Logos 3, when I linked an English text bible with a Greek or Hebrew text, I could tweak the resource associations so when I went from O.T. to N.T. (or vice versa) in English it would automatically toggle to the corresponding original language.
What you can't do in L4 is set up an OT and NT as a serial

  • Please bring "Report Typo" back

As a long-time user of the "Report Typo" link, can I ask for its return. And, while I'm at it, why not better serve and encourage those who report typos by keeping a log of the typo's and sending an email when it's been dealt with (included or rejected). I've submitted dozens over the years, and I still don't know whether they were useful.

I'd say it's a bug. Prioritising doesn't help. It seems that "Textual searches" is not configured to include those results, whereas in my mind it should include all morphologically tagged texts (without unnecessary duplication, of course).
Adding a tab gives you a list of parallel resources: they may or may not have an entry that matches the thing you're looking for. To pick on my favorite obscure example, Anchor has an article on .16.0|res=LLS:14.0.4">Japanese Biblical Scholarship . If you go to that article and then click on the + tab, you'll see a number of
