• Wildcard searches unnecessarily slow

Wildcard searches seem unnecessarily slow to me. An OT search in Top Bibles for language* OR tongue* takes around 4.5s on my relatively quick machine. The search language OR tongue takes 1.7 seconds (and returns exactly the same results if you have match all forms turned on). And while I'm at it, I find it very frustrating that you have to put search

Not just crashes, but usage reports too. From www.logos.com/privacy (which may be a little out of date): " Statistics reported include display resolution, amount of system memory, version of operating system, which reports are run and on what passages, which resources are opened and how often, user preferences, commonly-run searches, search speeds,

  • Re: Feature Request: Ability to use the Logos 4 sans-serif font as default text font

You can change the font by going to Tools / Program Settings and looking for the "Default Font" setting. However, it seems to my eye that the font you're looking for is Gill Sans MT Condensed, and Logos 4 doesn't allow you to specify the style of font (bold/italic/condensed/etc), just the face. In which case you need to be looking for an alternative

  • Bug causes missing resources in Exegetical Guide

I'm still in the process of setting Logos 4 up as I want it. So Iv'e got my Greek lexicon's prioritised, but not by Hebrew ones. Unfortunately, that means no Hebrew lexicons are listed in the exegetical guide. The expected behaviour would be to fallback on default prioritisation if the priority list returned no relevant resources. I shouldn't be forced

I do, thanks! I did a search for "video", but it didn't come up (though I think that's a relevancy issues). But more importantly, it's not listed in my activity on my profile, either, which is why I thought it had been deleted.

  • Missing forum posts

I created a forum post yesterday about a Logos video I created. It's disappeared! Did I break an unwritten rule? Are there gremlins in the system? What happened?

Perhaps it's worth adding that these vidoes are relatively easy to create. I used the freeware application BB Flashback , which (along with CamStudio ) is the only free software I'm aware of that allows screencasts of unlimited length. If you don't have your own webspace you could upload the finished files to YouTube, though the quality will suffer
Mark, Well done as are your other videos...thanks very much. PS: "Send hyperlinks here" is the equiv of "reference target" isn't it? Maybe someone can chime in.... In any case...very well done and valuable to keep...
Thanks, Robert. Yes, I should have been clearer about "Send hyperlinks here". My point was more

  • Video: My (positive!) experience of moving from Logos 3 to Logos 4

After reading many of the posts on this forum, it seems to me that we're often asking the wrong questions when we compare Logos 3 and Logos 4. I know that there are some important features missing, but Logos has promised to add these back in fairly soon. But more often, the missing features are not missing at all. Logos hasn’t removed things you can

  • Re: LOGOS 3 and LOGOS 4: Is there Duplication?

It's possible to install both, then get Logos 3 to use Logos 4's resources folder. Once you've done that, you can delete the duplicate resources. My experience is that I was able to reduce the size of my Logos 3 installation by half by doing this.

While I think about it, would you be additionally wonderful would be to have a "Date licence added to library" column. I'm sure this data must exist somewhere. Like many people I upgraded base-package when getting Logos 4, but I really don't know which new resources I have. I'd like to at least flick through my new resources, but how can I if I don

  • Re: A plea for the bibliographic report to be reinstated

Excel-like functionality would be great (as long as export was to CSV, not just XLS). That way I can do my own custom sorting. But I wouldn't want to lose being able to produce a custom bibliography Chicago or SBL style like we used to be able to do.

  • Re: Feature request: Let us select text on any page

Well, you can't select in search, either. It seems a pointless decision. In Logos 3 I would sometimes perfom a search and copy/paste the results (or a subset of them) but now I can't. It seems to be that select/copy is disabled almost everywhere apart from when reading the resource. As for the library, I accept your point. But its still needed because

The BAR (Biblical Archaeology Review) is missing covers, except for volume 27:6. The covers are there in the body of the resource, but missing from the metadata.

  • Feature Request: Better hover text

Several places in Logos would benefit from better hover text. For example, in the library there are two pencils with the hover text "Edit this text". It would be much better if the hover read "Edit long title" and "Edit short title". The same is true of the pencils in the Layouts menu, too.

  • Feature request: Let us select text on any page

Various places in Logos 4 don't allow the text to be selected. One example is the book info page. Another is the library. Please restore this functionality. Thanks!

  • Re: Please Fix Fonts for similar contrast

You just need to change the font. The font you're using is in Logos4 is not Arial. If you change it to Times New Roman (as it is in your Logos 3 format), you'll get better contrast, Arial is better still. Click Tools / Program Settings to change the font. Open your resource first, and you'll see the changes instantly.
