• Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2 Won't install error

I just thought I'd post this in hope of helping someone in the future. My i7 pc died a horrible death and I wanted to install logos 5 on another computer until I got my computer back up and running but alas, I had an install problem. I was trying to install logos 5 on an i5 with 8 gigs of ram, 8.1 windows and kept crashing with an .NET Framework 4.5

Dave, I was wondering if it could be the number and type of resources I leave running in logos 5 when I shut it down. It always restarts just like I shut it down. I was thinking about closing some things out before I shut it down like searches and other things that I don't have to have open. What do you think?

I could, but I would really like to know why logos 5 has been taking so long to load. Nothing else on my computer including the OS is affected. It took 9 minutes to load just now.

  • Preparing Your Library....This May Take A While

I am running Logos Bible Software 5.2b SR-9 (5.2.2.1629). I have 4770K CPU and 8 gig of Ram memory. Logos used to load within 2 minutes or less. For some time (a couple of months) it is taking about 20 minutes to load. None of my other programs have been affected, only Logos. I don't think it is internet speed because everything else (Netflix) runs

  • Re: search my entire library with only NT results?

Thank you and Dave both for responding. I searched "king within 20 " and got 180,730 results in 2868 articles in 429 resources (382.03sec). These searches are not for the faint of heart are they. I have a pretty fast computer (4770 K cpu and pretty fast motherboard with 8 gigabytes of memory running Logos 5) and it took 7 minutes to search.

According to your terminology, I have 3 parts. I do not have part 4. Part 2 is not listed in alphabetical order in my dialog box......that is my request, how do I get my dialog to display my generated passages in alphabetical order? Yours are in alphabetical order. Mine are not. Why? I doubt that you entered them in alphabetical order. Maybe I entered

  • How to sort "all bible passages" dialog in bible search?

I have all kinds of passages added to my "all bible passages" dialog box listed in the order that I made them, I suppose. How can I get them organized alphabetically? Thanks.

  • Morphological search for Pronoun Noun Verb (εἰμί)

I am trying to find similar a Greek construction to that found in 1 John 2:2, αὐτὸς ἱλασμός ἐστιν. I want to search a Morphological search for Pronoun Noun Verb (εἰμί) in that order without any intervening words. I looked at the wiki page but did not see what I was looking for. I think my problem is connecting the search members in a single search.
...Point being, to each his own...and, we should give Logos a break from time to time, they are trying to juggle hundreds of balls at once.
lemma:βλέπω, lemma:θεωρέω, lemma:ὁράω (search John 9 or whatever you wish). That's a morphological search.
Yes, that is true but how would you know they were all three found in John chapter 9 by doing a morphological search? I am not talking about doing a search like: βλέπω AND θεωρέω AND ὁράω. By reading John chapter

Yes it is. I suppose this is not a theological forum but I think it interesting that the book of John is before calvary and 1 John is post. Just a thought. This distinction is crucial in John, IMO. rod

  • Re: Greek search

Yeah, George, that would work here. I opened my big mouth about this search without thinking it through. Now I have to think about other situations where a cognant noun - verb might not use the same stem. One other thing. John 9 is obviously big on "sight". I noticed that in John 9 there are three Greek words which could be used to imply “see”, Βλέπω
