The book I linked above interacts heavily and categorically with Bacchiocchi‘s work—and effectively shreds it.
As a set, it's worth considering in a package. The set is otherwise way too pricey.
Completely agree. I was stunned when I looked at the pricing.
Then, there's Ignatius. Which is real and which is pseudo.
My understanding of the corpus of Ignatius is that there are seven pseudo-Ignatius letters and approx. the same number of genuine Ignatian letters (?). Perhaps MJ can clarify (or correct) this assertion inasmuch as, admittedly, Patristics has not been my particular

Was going to place this in the Hebrew-Greek section of the forum, but not sure it would get the attention I was hoping for there. Of course, Admin. can move this thread if deemed improper for this section. In brief I am really curious to search the evolution of the Biblical Hebrew. I do understand, to some extent, the influence of Ugaritic & Aramaic

Just a quick note: I do have the 2nd ed. via a competing software company. So far I like the update—though I don’t always agree w. Wallace et al. translation choices as applied to notorious textual variants (I have discussed this w. Dr. Wallace before as it relates to, e.g., I Timothy 3.16, John 1.18, etc.). Aside from this peripheral text

I recently read somewhere (can’t recall where) that it’s quite probable that Rabbi Saul actually saw Jesus during His earthly ministry inasmuch as Paul would’ve been one of the Pharisees (cf., Philippians) who were withstanding him around Jerusalem. I had never heard this theory, but I found it an interesting point. Probably unrelated
Thanks Puddin' ... that is a useful chunk of information. As for the translation "The Source" I suspect its value is in the notes rather more than the translation. Note however, I just bought a dead-tree format translation of the Complete Apocrypha for its one page introduction!
I completely understand. Oft times works

I would certainly agree with the author that the papyri findings in Oxyrhincus, Egypt has shed an absolute ton of lexical understanding. I would assume that, given your interest in linguistics, you’re aware of the ramifications of these findings (?). If not, I would suggest the Faithlife documentary “Fragments of Truth.” Those interested

So how does this work? My account said I get a free upgrade, so I ordered it (since it cost $0), but nothing in my library yet. I am assuming this is because it hasn’t shipped yet (?).

Thank you Denise & Ben. I will look further into Akkadian. I subscribed to the annual Master Lectures from Zondervan & they have classes in Ugaritic, Syriac, Aramaic, Greek & Hebrew. Already had 1 year of Greek (now slowly taking Wallace’s Greek II) & 1 year of Hebrew. For me, Hebrew was wayyy harder than Greek (cue the vowel pointings
