  • Re: Another STRONG plea for works by Robert Alter. They are CRYING out to be in Logos. PLEASE VOTE!

Y’all won’t believe this—but I found his entire OT work in PDF online...free😳! Just sayin’. PM me if you want more info.

Ok—that’s what I suspected😉. Very instructive though (I actually saved that tree to my photos). I have a cantillation tree in my Logos library, but, that thing feels like I have a Ferrari motor—w. a smart car driver 😳! Also gave a cascadia graph that has my attention, but, again, not sure how to use it. Sure wish I could hire a private

George, though I am not sure if this is what you’re looking for, personally I really like the NIDOTTE volumes linked below: https://www.logos.com/product/5465/new-international-dictionary-of-old-testament-theology-and-exegesis They’re highly exhaustive, following the initial usage of any given term in the literature and following it through

I would echo what Rich said above. I do not always agree w. their translation or text critical notes (I have discussed this w. Wallace at length), but it is my favorite translation inasmuch as it strikes a healthy balance between formal & dynamic equivalence—which is very necessary IMO (another topic altogether). I just got the 2nd ed. &

Excellent idea MJ. If I may ask, from where did you extrapolate this picture—I love it! Pardon my ignorance here, but is this tree serving to demonstrate the evolution of the biblical languages? If so, why do they not stop at Aramaic, Hebrew & Greek? I am almost certainly just not comprehending. Just trying to understand these trees. You turned

Tonight I bought the 4 volume package of Lexham Methods and also the Lexham English Septuagint—none of which are showing up in any of my libraries☹️. I do have the Lexham Methods Package w. my monthly subscription, but bought them just in case I ever have to cancel my subscription...but, again, nowhere to be found. I bought them in the E-books

  • Purchased Books Not Showing In My Library (?)

So I bought the Lexham English Septuagint and the 4-Volume package of The Lexham Methods Series from Faithlife Ebooks store—and they are nowhere to be found in my libraries (neither my Ebooks nor Logos library). I have the email showing that I bought these resources, but not sure what action I should take next. I wonder if customer service is

Not on Logos, but you can just register on the forums linked below and ask away. Honestly, Cessationism is indefensible biblically speaking—but I better not even go down that trail. And, yes, we have biblical evidence that Stephen spoke in tongues upon being “filled with the Holy Spirit.”

I am enjoying this work so far. I like Kaiser’s insightful and personable writing style. He seems to “get inside the head of the weeping prophet”—which means he identifies w. him. This is a good one.
