  • Re: What Is Your Current Sermon Preparation Workflow - December 2018?

Thanks for the link, Dave. If I'm going to do the work to move my notes out of Evernote, I would like to move them into Logos Notes, but, like you, I want to give the app some more time to mature and see how it develops. Blessings, Chris

  • What Is Your Current Sermon Preparation Workflow - December 2018?

As we head into 2019, I thought it might be helpful to share our current sermon preparation workflow. I am always looking for ways to improve my process, so if any others would care to share their process or critique mine, I would appreciate the interaction. First some background. I am a long-time Logos user. I purchased my first edition of Logos back

  • Re: New iPad Pro

Bill, Thanks for the clarification. That helps a lot. As I think about it, I would use the SG in laptop mode with the keyboard cover and a mouse. I have used Logos in my SB2 in tablet mode and it is useless. I can't even highlight text using the pen. This is on my wish list for the Logos desktop app: better touch control! Many (perhaps most) Windows

Thanks Bill & Kevin for your advice. If I can summarize what I am hearing you say, there really isn't a great mobile option for Logos. I have a Surface Book 2, which is awesome, but was hoping to find something a bit easier to carry around wherever I go. I have an older iPad and have never found the workflow with Logos Mobile appealing. It feels

    That did it. Thanks, Graham!

Kevin, thanks for starting this conversation. By reading the responses to this post and other posts on the forum, I am starting to think the iPad Pro is not the best device for Logos on the go. Bottom line, the mobile app does not lend itself to real work. Yes, it will work in a pinch, but you will quickly run into hard limitations. That's what I'm

  • Question: Crosslink Commentary and Bible Verse

I'm not sure if this is possible, but if it is, I don't know how to do it. Is it possible to create a note in a Bible text and have it link back to text in a commentary? For example, in my Bible text, I highlight the words "I stand at the door and knock," from Rev. 3:20. I want to link to some text in the book "The Church in Babylon" by Lutzer. I can

  • Re: News for E-Ink fans

This has been a fun (and probably costly) form to read. :) It sounds like everyone is leaning towards the Mars over the Nova. A couple of questions, is it possible to highlight books in the Logos app with the Mars? It doesn’t look like it has a stylus that comes with it. Does it work with a stylus? For reference, I’m looking at this device

  • Syntax for Collection without Journals

Quick question - how can I create a collection of my entire library minus all the theological journals. Thanks! Chris

More details about CLiPS is becoming available. Images of CLiPS in a single-cell form have become available. In most cases, CLiPS begins through the following entry point: Simple, but deadly.

It can easily spread to the Caribbean! Victims of CLiPS are know to have been infected by a single email.

  • Newly Discovered Disease Spreading Among Pastors and Ministry Leaders

A newly discovered disease is spreading quickly among Bible scholars, pastors, and ministry leaders. Chronic Logos Impulsive Purchasing Syndrom (CLiPS) is easily identified by examining a credit card statement of an infected user. Other symptoms include large resource libraries numbering in the thousands, compulsive clicking reactions to the words

  • Installing Resources from Third Party CD-ROM

Greetings - I purchased a collection from a third party that arrived on CD-ROM. From past experience, the only way I could register this collection with Logos and add the resources to my library was to install Logos 3 on a computer, register the collection under my username, return to Logos 4 do an update then let Logos 4 download and install the resources

  • Re: Logos & MaxiVista

I did find a work-around of sorts. Instead of running Logos on the server side of MaxiVista, if I run it on the client computer, I can then use MaxiVista to control the client computer and make use of MaxiVista's excellent cut/paste function between the two computers to move text from Logos to Word/OneNote without have to use alt-tab all of the time

  • Logos & MaxiVista

Does anyone have any luck running Logos 4 with MaxiVista to create a dual monitor setup? So far, Logos is the only app not to play nice with MaxiVista. The program starts and is running, but cannot be seen as long as MaxiVista is running. If I quit MaxiVista, Logos suddenly appears.

  • Re: Writing Sermons Survey

I use MS Word with a dual monitor setup. This allows me to have my reference material on the left and Word open on the right. Cutting and pasting between the two is seamless. I also tend to collect my reference material in OneNote. This makes for easy searching and after working with OneNote for so many years, I've grown accustomed to how I can move
