  • Re: PBB Lectionary question

Louis are the calendar dates documented somewhere? I looked at the video https://www.logos.com/training/logos5/pbb-dtext and it describes how to add tags but not the details of what the tags should be. For instance how do you format the first Sunday of Advent? Advent1? Or Transfiguation Sunday or Maundy Thursday or the 15th Sunday of ordinary time?

So MJ, this means that I have to add calendar dates to my lectionary readings? Is there a way to simply tie them to the RCL calendar? "Year: A; Season: Lent; Week:6 Readings:(OT, Psalm, Epistle, Gospel) Call to Worship, Prayer of Confession, Assurance of Pardon, Communion Liturgy, Prayer of Dedication, Suggested Hymns, etc." I'm trying to get all my

  • Personal Books (PBB) & the Lectionary

Really, really excited that Logos has added Lectionary tags for Personal Books (PBB). Unfortunately, the wiki notes http://wiki.logos.com/Lectionary_and_Harmony_Support aren't terribly clear about the data fields that I need to put in - an example would be extremely helpful! Has anyone used the new 5.1 Lectionary feature with Personal Books? This is

  • Re: Loading Children's Sermons and Worship Liturgy in PBB

M.J. I did have another question. Our denominational constitutional documents use paragraph numbers that are referenced both internally in each book and externally in other resources. Is there a way to setup a milestone on each paragraph with the proper document's paragraph number? For instance, we have a daily lectionary that references both scripture

M.J. you are a jewel! I spent the morning trying out all your suggestions and even tried out the links to the RCL index. Amazing! Blessings, Holly

  • Loading Children's Sermons and Worship Liturgy in PBB

Hello all, In order to consolidate my worship planning each week, I have been diligently making .DOCX files of my many books of children's sermons and liturgical prayers. Following the wiki, I've added appropriate heading styles to make TOC, verified the scripture references and then pondered how to include them with best success of finding what I need

Books of Children's Sermons would be very helpful. Here are some from my bookshelf Children's Sermons for the Revised Common Lectionary by Philip D. Yes, yes, yes! This is exactly what I want to do. I have been scratching my head trying to figure out how to put in the reference for [Proper4-YearA] or [Christmas2-YearC] but could only find dates in the Lectionaries to link to. Thank you for suggesting it!

  • Re: Lectionary Links to Personal Books

It would be nice just to link within my PB to the lectionary itself, but I can't figure out how to do even this. The RCL in Logos is tied to Scripture and to Date, but not to Lectionary Date (e.g. Proper 9, Easter2 or Advent3). I currently have the Lectionary Date setup as Headings in my Word document, but that just gives me a TOC, not anything linkable

  • Lectionary Links to Personal Books

Is there a way to put a Lectionary link to one or more of my Personal Books? I use the Revised Common Lectionary for preaching each week and have converted several of my prayer / litany books using Logos Personal Book Builder. I'd like to call up the lectionary text each week and have it pull the correct sections from each of these books (the way that

  • Re: Bible Dictionary and Commentary Set, best bang for your buck

Great lists! NICOT/NT, WBC, AB, WBC, and BECNT would all be considered "Technical" commentaries. All excellent but you only need one or two. Unfortunately, the way they are published in Logos you have to get the entire set and choosing NIGTC or BECNT leaves you without OT resources. TOTC/TNTC, Pillar, and NAC would be considered less technical and give
