  • Re: So where is 4.0b Beta 1???

I was hoping we would keep busy testing the new notes function in L4.0bB1 while they were keeping busy with the Christmas Cookie Bake-off, Fruit Cake Bake-off, Turkey Frying Contest, Turkey Left-over Contest, Cranberry Chili Contest, and other annual Logos events.

  • Re: I know it's not a huge priority but ....

I teach an adult class and several of my students really enjoy these. They help reinforce the lesson after the students leave the class and also as homework for next week's the class to help them get into the study passage. I'd like to have the ability to enter my own list of words or select the words form a passage so the words coincide with my lesson

  • Discourse Analysis Tool

I use and appreciate the Discourse Analysis resources available in Logos. How about a graphical Discourse Analysis tool so we can diagram, analyze and document passages ourselves (applying what we learn from the resources) - maybe like BibleArc.com? I like BibleArc.com's basic set of tags and the ability to add my own. The tutorials and other resources

  • Re: 4.0aB2 - Syntax search broken

THAT DID IT! Thank you Damian, Richard and Mark for all your help. I thought I'd be un-installing and re-installing 4.0ab2 tonight but would have probably ended up with the same problem in short order. I just love bleeding edge beta testing. Blessings all.

That sounds familiar! I did it (3 times) but the file C:\Users\Tim\Documents\Libronix Log Files\Logos4.log did not changed. only entries in the file are dated 10/31/2009 - nothing for today.

  • Re: 4.0aB2 - Syntax search broken

Damian, Please refresh my memory - I tried to enable logging with the old link for that function provided in the private beta - apparently it doesn't work with 4.0aB2 (there is no change in the Logos4.log when I try). What is the correct command in Logos or link outside of Logos to enable logging?

  • Re: 4.0aB2 - Syntax search broken

Damian, I deleted the files, launched Logos and did the Update resources. It did download files and the application closed and restarted - still has the same problem. I closed the application and launched it again and it still has the same problem.

  • Re: 4.0aB2 - Syntax search broken

Richard and Mark, I removed the syntaxsearch.db file and Logos did create a replacement, but that did not help - same problem. I removed the two files in the Local\Logos4\Data\{random}\ResourceManager\SyntaxDatabase folder and Logos did NOT replace the files and the problem was not solved. I copied the two files back to that folder - still has same

Yes - twice. Once right after the update and again about 20 minutes later.

  • Re: 4.0aB2 - Syntax search broken

Hi Richard, That triggered a short flurry of network and hard drive activity and then it told me it was downloading 27 meg of resources. After they were loaded and Logos restarted I tried the Syntax Search again, but it did the same thing with the same message. Thank you for the good Idea. Looks like if fixed something (don't know what), but it wasn

  • 4.0aB2 - Syntax search broken

I installed 4.0aB2 over my SR-7. Then did a merging index (before I knew about the bug http://community.logos.com/forums/t/6164.aspx ). I forced a re-index and it helped a bit, but when I try to do a Syntax search I get the message "Syntax features are currently disabled because the necessary resources are currently unavailable." I looked in Local\Logos4

  • Advanced Priority Settings

Open Library, Click on Prioritize, right click on a resource, click "Set Prioritization Limits (Advanced)". Wow - didn't see that before. Thank you Logos. Lesson learned - right-click everything!

Or drag the current (or any other) layout over the name of the layout you want to update.

  • Unexpected resource shift

I have a Kensington SlimBlade™ Presenter Media Mouse ( http://us.kensington.com/html/13879.html ). Instead of a wheel between the buttons it has a ball. When I am scrolling down a Bible it will intermittently and unexpectedly shift to a different resources - ie, change from NASB to ESV. I found this happens if I don't run the ball straight down. Often

  • Re: Reading plan question

It would be really helpful if the reading plan did allow breaks on chapter or pericope boundaries for Bibles and have an option for non-Bible books to read X chapters per reading session. I'd like to read some books at a rate of one complete chapter a day for however long it takes, but with the current options, that's really not possible.

  • Tool tip problem in Bible search results

Bible Search: Search "All Passages" in "New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update" for "Jonathan" Hover over words of the verses in the results and on some verses the tool tip displays the verse and on other verses it only shows an empty box over the first letter of the verse.
