• Re: Books in Silver that introduce Anglicanism if seminary program has started?
I've started out in seminary and I've been in touch with priests - especially one of the two said I should get aquainted with the denomination and told me to start at the website of the diocese. Also would have to be somewhat active in the parish for many years. But as it will take time before I'm even a member I don't think I will

  • Re: BCP question

In terms of learning how to read the psalms, canticles, collects, etc in proper order easily - there's not a simple way to do that within Logos. But you might want to take a look at a friend of mine's online Breviary . That should get you started pretty easily and you can tailor it to your particular liturgical style (while still observing the rubrics

Thanks Mark - I've done just that.

Well, yes. There they are! Thanks. (I have so many commentary sets that I've collected over the years that these new lectionary sets are always way down on the list and I overlooked them. Truly an embarrassment of riches with Logos.)

Wow. I didn't know those lectionary resources were in my library! What a great thing to learn. I wonder if there's anyway to get them to appear in sermon prep passage guide?

  • Re: Speed up your start up (how did I ever miss this one)

Wow! That makes a huge difference. I can imagine why it should... what is logos doing differently in animating the opening that other programs aren't? (The difference isn't nearly as large between having animations on or off in other programs when I check them too.)

I'm not seeing them either. I wonder what has to happen to make them appear?

I hope it reappears in one for or another. Though I bought it as soon as it was released (and have found it to be a wonderful resource for sermon prep), it would be a shame if others don't get the same opportunity to add it to their library.

It downloaded and installed for me. I've been checking for the release notes, but nothing so far.
Not for me. There are no options to choose from. (Using Alpha 16 btw.) I'm seeing the exact same behavior on my laptop and my desktop.
Ugh - never mind. Couldn't follow your simple and clear directions apparently. When I did, the options showed up and everything is just as it should be. Thanks.
If you right click on the column bar, do you have any columns added to your detail view? If you add some columns, I'll bet you'll see some things show up.
Not for me. There are no options to choose from. (Using Alpha 16 btw.) I'm seeing the exact same behavior on my laptop and my desktop.

For what it's worth, I'm seeing the same behavior as well. 750+ books in title view. 0 books in detail view. The screen is drawn, the alternating blue and white lines are visible. But there's nothing listed. I guess I thought it was just another as yet unimplemented feature.

  • Purchase new resources?

An online vendor is having a sale on a resource that's been on my wishlist for a long time. If I buy, is it simply a matter of installing the new resources via Libronix 1.22, syncing the licenses and then hoping that the resources are now available for Logos 4? (I can't see a way install new resources via Logos 4 right now, but that might just be because

  • Re: A12 - Does it start downloading at some point?

Just one more observation, in case you decide to put this issue into the support database, it appears that you must manually change the permissions on the user Launchagents folder. Running "Repair Permissions" via Disk Utility doesn't seem to reset them to default. Which is probably by design, but it's confusing and unexpected behavior. Which is why

Ah - that's seems to be the issue. For some reason my profile doesn't have explicit permission to write to launchagents. (I tested by trying to drag a file to the folder - I could only do that if I explicitly authenticated.) I manually added my profile to the permissions, tested to make sure I now had write access, deleted my Logos4 preference files
Hmmm.... That's interesting. The only other time we've seen the app die that quickly is when a user is running 10.4 As for generating a log file, see Joe's post here: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/6731.aspx Step 1 below the video has the instructions for how to enable logging. Posting logs (steps 2 and 3) is the only
Hi William, Yes, it should start downloading immediately. Being alpha software, there are still a few bugs to work out, but generally, the download works. If you look at the link Jack referred to, or the FAQ link in my signature, you can find out some information on how to post log files that will help us track down issues

From the window? You mean from the disk image? It won't run. It says that it needs to be copied to the application folder.
