• Re: Do I have start from the homepage to begin an new study of a passage?

It doesn't look to me like there's any way to duplicate the behavior of the homepage "Go" button without the home page. Easy way to duplicate behavior with a key stroke is to save a layout with all sections in the guides closed and then add that layout to your favorites assigned a keystroke. You can also add that layout to your toolbar . Then when you
1. You would gladly put all your information online, unencrypted, because all the worries about "cloud" are just "FUD." After all, no-one wants to look at your life, and mine it for marketing and other information about you--not even Amazon and Google.
I should be straight up Russ; I know who you are and your tech credentials
Excuse me, but I also work "in the industry". I just attended the Linux Foundation Collaboration Summit in San Francisco. I chose to attend a session on Clouds. The majority of the discussions after the presentations dealt precisely with this fear, uncertainty, and doubt. There were cloud adopters, cloud consultants, cloud

  • Re: How to search ONLY article titles in my dictionaries collection?

I feel like I've just had all the air sucked out of the room. . . makes having more then one dictionary pretty much useless. I'm not interested in "topic" searches. I just want to look for a word form in dictionary entries. . . how utterly sad. Thankful at this point that I didn't put all my eggs in the logos basket!

Whew! The air appears to have re-entered my room! Thank you very much Mark. I very much appreciate your answer (as well as your videos).
This should clear up your sync issues after a full re-sync of your data.
L4M crashed early this morning at 3am while attempting to just let it run (trust me, I was doing nothing but sleeping). OS X has a spin log (basically a stack trace, not likely very useful, but could be helpful) and content from the console log

  • Re: BUG A20: Beach Ball Spinning Party

I would be open to that approach if I could get some kind of technical direction along those lines. At this time, Logos seems to be thinking it might be a corruption in my Documents folder because the logs show that the sync activity is being repeated over and over and over... I'm just not comfortable putting that data out on a forum where it is forever

  • Re: BUG A20: Beach Ball Spinning Party

For those who may run into the same issue, or those that are just curious, the fix was to open the resources that were getting an "FAILED" update in the log with internet turned off, then scroll them, close them and enable internet and sync up. A HUGE thank you goes out to Tommy Ball and Tom Philpot for their help in getting me taken care of!

Congratulations! I only dream of such a library myself. Are you able to share any more about your book yet?

  • B3: Beach ball editing notes

While editing notes, I frequently get spinning beach balls. I always get them while: 1. Changing fields (e.g. one note entry to another, title to content, etc.) 2. Selecting Text 3. Mouse clicking to move cursor 4. Sometimes when moving cursor with arrow keys. Setup: Logos 4 B3 3 GHz Core 2 Duo 8GB DDR3 RAM 13GB free HD space

I did see Print/Export in a previous alpha, but it appears to be gone from beta 2... will we see it come back soon? LOVE this feature in the PC 4.1 beta and would like to stop running VMWare for Logos ASAP.

I didn't work very well It produced a document with seriously messed up margins, etc. and there was no (that I can recall) option for copy to clipboard. I was just hopeful (as I still am) that we'll see this sooner then later!

  • Beta 2: Links in Notes not working

Links created in notes on Windows (can't create them on Mac yet) are not working... I'm guessing this is known? (tried cmd+click and right click/ctrl+click, and even option click in case there was some magic I didn't know).
Bummer! Running Win XP Pro. Thank you though.
You can accomplish the same thing by mounting an NTFS volume into an empty folder (did this with Oracle RDBMS back in the "old" days running Oracle on Windows 2000): http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307889

I think this is a fantastic step in the right direction. I know that publishers like to sell by the series, but most of us paying customers are interested in a particular area of study like these. A couple more things that I think would enrich the experience and increase the value to Logos: 1. Add the ability to "rate" content for people who own it

  • virtualized window 7: 64 or 32 bit?

I'm interested in the reader feature using the MS voice available only in Vista/Win7 and I run on Apple hardware. As such, I'm going to upgrade my XP virtual machine to Windows 7 (actually, I'll just be creating a new VM)... what I'm trying to decide on is whether to go 32 bit or 64 bit. The win7 VM will NEVER have over 3GB of ram available to it. The
