With Logos 4 you buy a cross-platform license. . . i.e. you don't have to pay to run it on OS X separately from your PC like you did from the 1.x version.

  • NET Bible Reverse Interlinear

I'm finding the NET Bible a fantastic, fresh, accurate english translation that really gets me reading with a new level of intensity. I find myself frustrated doing in depth study with it in Logos because it doesn't have the Reverse Interlinear. One of the great parts is the translator notes... seems like those would make it much easier to get the RI

I started Logos 4 Mac up at 9:20am local time and left it running until 3:30pm local time... well actually... it is still "running" with the spinning beach ball it's ever present friend. Spiking CPU intermittently... how much longer should I let it run? 0434.neverending-beach-ball-sync.zip

Hi Tes, I too am not sure what problem you're actually encountering, but I'll tell you something that I do to keep the highlighting focused on different parts of the observation process: 1. I have a palette specific to key words or terms (mostly what we have in the base package with a few personal changes) 2. I have a visual filter that specifically

  • Re: Necessary library for Biblical Languages Videos

I think it is important to note the kind of resource he suggests more then the repeated "don't do this, and here's why" hour plus of video (grrrr) about the problems with lexicons and strongs resources. I can't see how HALOT could begin to be comparatively useful until you've had at least a few years of Hebrew that you've kept up to date. Two resources

Tes, There's some good reading in your base package via L&N via the "Case" domain that will help you understand how some of these work. Check out the following links: logosres:louwnida;ref=LouwNida.90 logosres:louwnida;ref=LouwNida.89.38-89.39 Paste the text into your command bar and hit return and the proper domain will appear. Specifically I believe

  • SUGGESTION: Convert "Text Comparison" into full layout

I would like to be able to "convert" a text comparison window into a floating window layout that enables full use of the bible text. Why you might ask? Today, here's what I cannot effectively do with a text comparison window: Cannot highlight Cannot take notes on that text/those word(s) Cannot Add to Passage List Cannot view with visual filters Cannot

So I was away from ping power and pipe for a number of hours and when I tried to start up the latest Logos beta for mac, I get a logon screen with no "Work Offline" button. I tried everything I could think of to get it past the screen, but I had zero success. Instead I started Fusion and Logos 4 windows and worked offline with no problem ( but it sucked

If you have Logos 3 resource CDs (e.g. WBC, NLT Study Bible, IVP) that have not had their licenses synchronized, then you can either install Logos 3, or you can just ignore it and install Logos 4 right away. It will take (in my experience) a lazy day or two to complete downloading and indexing to finish your L4 install. If you appear to be missing resources

I'm most interested in the Didache, Apostolic Tradition, and other similar non-canonical commentaries in the NT set. No such equivalent commentaries in another set I know about from Logos. (I actually wish I could get them separately!)
