• Re: Life Application Commentary

If you like the Life Application Study Bible application focus, then you'll like the commentary set. I know of one pastor of a medium size church (i.e. about 1200) that uses it almost exclusively for application focus.

  • Re: Camp Logos or Logos Academic Training
If you could only buy one, which one would you buy, Camp Logos or Logos Academic Training? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
What I would buy is the Academic, but I (too) wouldn't/haven't... I prefer the more focused, $5 pieced out approach of the webinars at learnlogos.com and the "in class" Camp Logos

  • Re: Pre-pub orders

There is no typical. If you have an immediate need, wait as long as you can, then purchase the print if it's not out in time. I personally have never seen anyone (including myself) who saw something in pre-pub have it arrive in time for their need.

  • Re: Logos-5---?

"Upgrade" and "Update" have absolutely no consistent pure definitions in the software industry. Within my company, your first purchase, plus 23% of that purchase every year entitle you to "upgrades", "updates", "patches", etc... all essentially terms that have to do with the level of change or difference, but TOTALLY inconsistent once you get down to

  • Re: Logos-5---?

If we take a look at the L4 release and take it for granted that the L5 will be similar, here's what I think we can expect: The base "Engine" will be free "Base Package" Cross- grade (paid) for non-resource related feature/tool upgrade (less then $100 today) "Base Package" Upgrade ( paid ) for feature/tool and resource related upgrade (price depends

  • Re: Wonder about resource dreams for the March Madness field ?

NETS would be a dream considering it's not even pre pub! Seeing it on pre-pub would be enough for me! My more "realistic" list: NASB 1977 Edition The Book of James—A New Perspective A Dictionary Of Biblical Tradition In English Literature New Testament Interpretation The Canon of Scripture Either/both books from the Studies in Talmud and Midrash Collection

  • Re: Logos 4.5b Beta 1 Warning

Same issue as others: blanked out window, missing menu items, nothing can open in the main window. Open Logos, try to open something from the library into the main window, try to start a few things from pull down menus, open resource using a floating window. Oh yeah, all my personal content is completely missing (notes, highlighting, etc.). 1256.Archive

I've never done this before, but I've updated the official release notes with a "WARNING" in the Mac Known Issues section telling people to avoid installation.
Program update has a dialog box to Install and Relaunch (OR Cancel), which resource update does not.
All "Cancel" does is wait until restart to replace the executable. We need a way to avoid this kind of nightmare. I too was up taking what I thought was BECNT upgrade only to be greeted by the great nothing

  • Re: Logos 4.5b Beta 1 Warning

EPIC FAIL The "Release" notes say nothing of these issues. Serious question: what is the point of releasing a beta that doesn't work for anyone?

I use my expose 3 fingers up/down gestures with Logos4 all the time with no issues. I also scroll with two fingers up/down, and many others. If you're looking for Logos to respond to 2 finger left/right, you're out of luck, but the work fine in other apps running concurrently with Logos.
As I use it in my study, HCSB is quickly rising to the top of my favorite Bibles list but not having a Reverse Interlinear in Logos is really holding back my use of it. • Re: Is Logos 4 Too Much for Me?

I'm going to suggest something even more basic: 1. Create an account on Logos.com 2. Get the Lexham English Bible 3. Try out the core features of Logos Search, graph your results, create a visual filter from your search (do plenty of these) Notes/Highlighting - Take some and make some Create a Passage List, add some Clippings Note: this will not show
