  • Re: Notes on iPad?

I understand why the patience of many is running short on the notes feature but KS4J would appear to be accurate on the software side of things. Logos is not only writing an iOS app, but dealing with Android, PC, & Mac. Trying to introduce a feature, all at once, that will work across four different platforms is very difficult at best. One might say

  • Re: Logos 4 still not up to speed (no pun intended)

David, I appreciate all that Logos does to listen to its customer base and to develop its product. The participation of the developers in the various forums speaks volumes, especially when there are so few. I just want to say that I agree with your assessment of the development. Each programmer specializes in a specific area of expertise. Though they

I wish I knew some. Thanks for the response though. At least we know the issues are known. In previous forums all that seemed to be said was there must be a problem with this or that. So obviously it is not a problem on any one person's system, but an issue that Logos is aware of and working to fix (with time and programmers of course). Thanks for the

  • Re: Logos 4 still not up to speed (no pun intended)

So I decided to try the 4.3 beta since there are supposed to be improvements in the speed. I have worked with it for the last 24 hours or so and the issues that I have been concerned about are still the same. When you do a Bible search in "Top Bibles" the scrolling is jerky when using the 2-finger gesture on my trackpad or my Logitech mouse. The same

I have seen some of the same problems with L4 on the Mac. I much preferred the speed of Logos when I was running it on the PC. I have found that scrolling and searching are both much slower now. I have a MacBook Pro with 2.4ghz core i5; 8gb DDR3; dedicated 256mb graphics; 320gb 7200rpm drive with 120gb free (usually half is free but I recently ripped

I have been looking all over the forums like many of you. I can't find anything that seems to fit what Stephen is describing. I have work to do in the interim, so good luck guys!

  • Re: History inconsistent?

I have noticed the same. It also seems that the history only stores the last reference to which you jumped as well. I will type in Romans 3, read through to Romans 4. Then I might go to James 3, after which I want to return to Romans 4 where I left off. Instead of going to where I left, it goes back to where I started. This may be a little different

I think that the passage guide features would be commentaries first and perhaps the cross-references as well. But commentaries would take the number one spot for me. I do think that the morphology links and such being built into the text would be useful. It would also be nice to have the ability to do word studies, even if it were limited to a very

Dave, I can only imagine how much power it would take to run a full library search when I consider what it takes for my core i5 MBPro to do it. But is there the chance of any other features becoming offline available in the future? I don't expect the same level of access as I have on my full system, but perhaps a scaled back system? I don't do development

  • Re: iOS Logos Offline

That is ultimately a question for the developers. From what I have seen in other forums, the answer right now is no. Of course that could always change. I guess we will have to wait and see. I feel your pain because I am holding an unopened 32gb Wifi iPad in my hands. I love the potential, but feel I just can't justify the price until some of the features

David, I was confused at first as well, but the forums helped me sort it all out! You can download all of your resources, but there is no "bulk" option. You have to open up each resource through the library pane and instruct it to be available offline. Then the app will download the resource. You have to repeat this for each of the resources, whether

  • Re: iOS Logos Offline

Mark, I can see the collection download being more accessible, but we would need a way to guarantee we had everything we needed to perform the Word Studies. Perhaps Logos could design the program with a pre-determined list to download the necessities and then enable a collections/by the book download. I have heard the same about notes and am really

  • iOS Logos Offline

I know that this has been mentioned in other places, but I thought I might try and condense some of my thinking (and perhaps the thoughts of others) in this thread. As others have mentioned, the Logos app becomes nothing more than a glorified e-book reader when you go offline. It may be great to have access to all of my books when I am online, but unless

I am the minister of a congregation that is a little under 100. We have internet here in the office and it is set up on WiFi for my laptop and a few others (i.e. committees, treasurer, etc.).
