Just a Q: can someone give a sceneario where they'd like the "auto complete" of the BSS? I mean a specific example like "I was trying to find where this particular thing was but couldn't remember this...." I'm just curious....
The one that comes to mind is I couldn't recall the exact reference, nor what the key

Jon, Great points, and helpful to understand the thinking behind your first post. I particularly like your last, constructive comment. I think Logos can not only create something equivelent in function to the BSS of L3, but improve on it and make something even more useful.
Yeah, I agree with Logos on this one... Having a search start running before you've finished entering the query is methodologically flawed +/- bad programming IMHO, it wastes CPU time...
Jon, I understand this is your opinion, but would you be kind enough to consider an alternate perspective for a moment? 1st, it is

Werner, I've found that the sync works better if I only have one computer running Logos at a time. When both are running Logos at the same time I saw some problems with everything being synched up.

Thanks Kevin. I'll make specific corrections there. A lot of the subject stuff is easy to spot.
We are setting up a system that lets us edit all the book metadata on the server and push down updates. This system is already up, and we're finishing the user interface for the internal editing system and will start cleaning the data soon. You'll see the improvements "automagically." It may be a bit pie in the sky, but what about... The ability to make a shortcut that opened up a custom floating window with multiple predefined resources. I know I can drag a layout into the shortcut menu, but that completely changes everything. My idea would not change the layout, just add a window. The way I see it, the more customizable and powerful

  • Re: Inconsistant Subject information in Library

Exactly what William said. Logos made this an important issue with the implementation of dynamic searches. Also, we're talking about something that is equivalent to typos. Doesn't need to be fixed today. But should be put on the list to be fixed at some point. If there was someway to submit a 'typo' change request for certain titles, that would be a

  • Inconsistant Subject information in Library

While working in the Library I have seen a lot of inconsistent subject information. Here is an example. In the library, 1st enter "type:dictionary". Then sort by subject. In my library, I get 66 titles. Below are some shots of the sorted list, with the inconsistencies highlighted. (I only circled the first set of subjects with inconsistencies.) As you

Yes, seing the list develop is great, because if you pick the right key words, you can get a short list quickly and pick from there.

  • Crash in Bible Word Search

When doing a bible word search I get a repeatable crash if it searches 'Preposition Use' with the specific greek text for 'doulos'. Here is a screen shot of a successful search without preposition use (sections minimized). If I add preposition use, it crashes. If I use another word, like kyrios, the Preposition Use works fine.

Timothy, very nice! Still get a 4.86sec search, but overall less time with the keyboard shortcut. You must have a speedier computer.

Thanks Ed. I just tried what you suggested in L4. Here are the results with two searches, the difference in searching 'Bible' vs 'All Passages': So, a workable solution, but not really an 'enhancement.' Anybody know of a way to improve on this?

  • Is there a "Bible Speed Search" in L4?

Does anyone know if L4 has anything equivalent to the "Bible Speed Search" that was in L3. I use this constantly to look up the reference of a verse I 'know'. What I loved was how it worked dynamically (and very quickly) while you typed in key words from the verse. As quickly as I typed, the list of references would dwindle down to the verse I needed

Thanks for the replies. Maybe I can put off my Motherboard /CPU/Memory/GPUupgrades until my bank account recovers from my Portfolio upgrade. (The bang for the buck was too much to resist) . That, and set aside some pre-pubs that I don't really need. And yes, if the Information window is open (or other windows are linked, or sympathetic highlighting
