• Re: Genesis to Jesus in One Hour
I just noticed this pre-pub status is now set to "Live." Does this mean that my credit card will be charged soon and I should get the download soon? I found this book on Amazon for only $7 (less if used). The Logos book is $20 even on pre-pub ($30 full price now). I'm having second thoughts about this. Anyone else has any input

  • Re: L4 Mac very slow today

You're not the only one. It's virtually ground to a halt on my MacBook. So much so I've had to Force Quit because the menus weren't even working. I've tried fresh install and am now rebuilding the index but as I'm not the only one, guess that wasn't the issue & should've left well alone for another day. Here's hoping it's better tomorrow.

  • Re: Prayer List for iphone!

This is an often asked about feature and not being able to access prayer lists while on the go is a bit of a pain. Until it becomes a part of the Logos iOS appp I've resorted to using HanDBase for my prayer requests, setting up a journal and bible references cross reference set as well. With continued use I keep refining it and may find that when the
For this year I have been using the Chronological Reading Plan. If you like, you can copy the text from the enclosed text file to the Reference Range line in the editing window of the New Reading Plan. 4276.ChronologicalRP.TXT EDIT: Sorry, I did not know Philip is preparing the list for you already. P.S. You have to save

  • Bible Study Magazine on FreeBookPreview

Loving the fact that BSM is available on the iPhone by way of Free Book Preview. OK there are no pictures (and no ads!!) and it's hardly a "magazine" experience but it's definitely a nice experience being able to read BSM on my iPhone. Here's hoping this develops...

I'm not sure how it fits into the guidelines but I think it increases sales in the end. I bought a collection of Tozer books for another program because it was dirt cheap. No offense intended to the other program, but it just doesn't compare to Logos. I ended up buying a couple of the books individually

There are a number of resources offered by Logos that can be found elsewhere for free. However, the beauty of getting it from Logos is that it's all available and linked from within the one program. For that I'm happy to pay.

  • Re: Logos on iPhone 4 vs. iPad

I have an iPhone and as good as it is, with the bells and whistles, I'd rather do reading using an iPad. The screen on the iPhone is too small really for sustained reading use. It's ok for short dips but any serious reading requires the larger screen. (a friend has an iPad and having used it for a short while, going back to my phone was hard) That said

  • Freebookpreview showing on purchase

I recently bought the What Jesus Demands from the World book on my iPhone and now whenever I open it up I get the FreeBookPreview.com header on every page, despite deleting and redownloading (or even just viewing). Will this advertising go away, hopefully?

  • Martial Arts vs Christian ethos

I was wondering whether anyone could point me in the direction of anything that might be able to help me with regards to christianity and martial arts (and other practises of non- christian activites.) Specifically I need to come up with a paper for our PCC re use of church property and while there is an argument for embracing secular activities, I
I can open Parallels and Logos 4 faster than Logos4Mac. Plus, Logos 4 in emulation runs tons faster than the native Mac application! Everything about the application is faster under emulation.
I find this amazing; the fact that you can launch Parallels and then Logos faster than L4Mac. I've just tried to see the time

  • Re: Import Tax & Shipping Costs on Logos Disk (UK)?

I picked download for my "Silver" package. Yes it takes a while to d/l but not too long and in the grand scheme of things, it's much quicker than waiting for shipping ;) (and cheaper). But I didn't get hit for any import duty on the one thing I did get shipped (learning Greek & Hebrew DVDs) if that's your main concern.

Thanks Robert, that seems to have worked but more by luck than judgement. There isn't an obvious "Save" once renamed and it's not obvious how it becomes the default, but that's probably my fault rathr than the program's. Also for some reason my Guides menu is now full of "Untitled Guide" and "Copy of Passage Guide" entries. Where are these and how do

Please can someone help. I'm stuck trying to work how to cut down my PG on initial run. Every time I close unwanted elements of the PG (like Music, Sermons, etc) because they take forever to run and aren't needed all the time, they seem to reappear whenever I link to a new passage. I've tried creating new templates (but can't seem to find a way to save
