• Re: Journal of Biblical Literature - very close to production status

Can't afford it, can't afford it, can't afford it..... nuts to "easy pre-order"! Shame it's not iPhone compatible.
When you share using email, the subject line is the passage name (i.e. Proverbs 13:25 , John 3:16 , etc). Just change the email to include your "notes". It is no where perfect, but it is how I get by until highlighting makes it in the app.
That only works with bibles. Anything else just includes the title of
What I do is the following (probably mentioned before): 1 - Create an Evernote Account 2 - Create an Email Address linking my Evernote Account so whatever I email go to Evernote 3 - When I find a passage of interest in my Ipad/Iphone, etc.. I click the passage, then do "Share", then I note what I want to note and email

Just tried this and don't see the problem. Sadly I can see dates and am reminded how far behind I am...

  • Re: Logos Read the Bible In a Year - How about you?

I use it but to my shame I don't at the moment, if you get my drift. Currently, whenever I open Logos, I am reminded I am a month or so behind (ok, the "or so" is longer than the preceding month), so I have a bit to catch up. But it will happen....

  • Re: Plea for Prayer Lists

Pending Logos' implementation of this, I've decided to use my own HandBase dB as a prayer list and journal. Not perfect but I already had HandBase on my iPhone and was reluctant to spend money on something "temporary". The advantage of doing it this way is that I can change the "views" as required.

Must admit, I wanted to get these but then saw the bit about Latin and thought again. The only thing I can remember about Latin stems from early school days years ago, learning about some chap called Caecilius living with his family in Pompeii. Oh, and the fact that in my school report my tutor wrote "I ban Chris from Latin for the rest of his life

Actually I've noticed it is a little harder on my MB. Nothing concrete as I've not monitored CPU but definitely slower at doing things from the getgo

I'm assuming that's the same bug that affects the pop up windows on the Home page; when I hover over the lectionary, for instance, and the text displayed is in different sizes, the smallest of which is way too small?

Great to see this news as I've had the Mac version since before the alpha turned teenager. Sadly slightly tainted by the fact that I'm not a US resident and so excluded from the prizes party. But hey, well done guys.

  • Re: posts to forum from ipad

It is possible, just convoluted. You need to click Reply and then click the HTML button (opens another window) and then type in your reply in that new window. Forum software doesn't like iDevices :( (and this is an often raised question)

I'd like one of the hats but although the hat is well priced, the cost of shipping is too much :(

  • Re: Can't post on forums from iPad

It's tricky but it is possible. You need to use the HTML button, which opens another window for you to enter the text of your post. (this reply was done on my iPhone). I believe this shortcoming has been raised with Logos "a few" times ;)

  • Re: Page Turning on the iPhone App

Hi Craig. Your comments ring true and to a large extent I agree with them. However, there are many instances when scrolling is far more valuable. For example when doing research it is desirable to keep moving backwards as well as forwards through text and invariably text I'm reviewing has a page break in the middle. The ability to scroll a page to make

  • Re: Adding favorites in 1.4.2

One thing I wish I could do with Favourites is give them a more meaningful description, something to help you remember why you made it a favourite. It's all well a good having the reference but after a few pages of stuff on the iphone, trying to find the particular piece you want gets tiresome.

Doesn't inverted commas work? ie "love is" will find only instances of love is and not just love or is. Or am I misunderstanding your question?

I've been doing the same with my iPhone and iTeleport. Works over the internet either from a wifi spot or 3G (though the latter is a little slower to respond). I've even used it over Edge but that was just too slow to get a reasonable screen redraw.
Yes, I use NewsRack to keep tabs on the main Logos blog, the pre-pubs and community pricing. But as for the forums, I haven't found a newsreader the best way. The ones I've tried will pick up new threads but never seem to pick up new
