L6 works quite a bit smoother overall when opened within the virtual machine on my Mac. Hopefully we can get the Mac version working a little better soon.

I loaded Windows 8 into a VMWare Fusion machine on my Mac, installed Logos 6, and let it index to completion. Scrolling the same Prayer Factbook within this Windows 8 VM was smoother than my Mac version. Certainly that means something.

Most windows experience scrolling hangs and glitches, with some hangs/glithces taking a few seconds to resolve. Scrolling a 'page' can take a number of seconds, and it seems the mouse scrolls are in some way placed into a fifo and keep going even long after I am done scrolling. I am currently running Logos Bible Software 6.0a SR-16.0.1.1317 I have a

I just loaded up a Factbook page, and the skips and lags in scrolling are the worst yet. I thought to see how Logos might be impacting resources, so I opened my Mac's Activity Monitor over the top of L6, and my scrolling of L6 under the Activity Monitor was perfect! I moved Activity Monitor to a different Desktop, and my scrolling became terrible again

So Bradley - what do you suggest for those of us who use this on very capable Mac platforms who are ones experiencing distracting performance issues?
-
I too am experiencing similar issues. I notice if I close all windows and simply scroll through the ESV my performance does get better, but it still hangs now and again. I am using a 2010 Mac Pro with upgraded everything, and using a layout with just a few things open really causes text scrolling to be frustrating. I am open to any suggestions.

I have a mid-2010 MBP 15" w/ 2.4GHz i5, 8GB RAM, and an Intel ssd alongside the original Hitachi drive. I have done just a little side-by-side comparison, and frankly, I don't see that much difference between the hdd and the ssd! I would have thought the read/write speeds of the SSD would have made all-things-Logos faster, but I am finding much of the

Mark - thanks so much for the link to the morphology codes. Once I type these in and add a space after the last code, my search results work! This is great news. Melissa - thanks as well for the thoughts. My system seems to act similar to what John has mentioned. Clicking and double clicking only get the drop down items to highlight in blue, and using

Hey John, Thanks for the reply. I looked in the help menu for the appropriate letters to use to populate the search bar, but I am having trouble finding anything. For example, I want to search on a Hebrew verb in Pual, but creating something like you had for Greek with 'VP' does not seem to return anything, and I am unsure if the search is looking for

This is good news. I am a Mac user, with 4.0b SR-4 (4.10.4.9457), and I too can not get the drop menu items to populate the search line. This would sure be handy for my 2nd semester Hebrew class!

1. I had open a Bible search on one side and the ESV on the other 2. I searched All Bible Text in All Passages in ESV for "while AND sinners" 3. The rainbow wheel showed up and the program hung. I have a new Macbook Pro 15, 2.4 GHz, OS X 10.6.4 818786.Archive.zip

Thanks - that worked!

This is my first post so please correct me if I made the archive poorly. Repeating issue new, for me, with A22.1: 1. I typed Matt 5 into the command bar and L4 froze 2. L4 shutdown via Force Quit Second issue: 1. Attempting to shutdown L4 from Welcome Screen freezes 2. L4 shutdown via Force Quit 02820.Archive.zip
