I need to reiterate what someone else said: Copy Bible Verse was much better in WS12 I'm using both programs right now in lesson prep as I try to get accustomed, but copying verses over from Logos is clunky. I've adjusted the "style" formats and it still seems to require constant reformatting. Adding the "1900" to "KJV" is completely unnecessary and

  • Re: WS Cross-reference Explorer vs Logos

The first screen uses the "Important Passages" that is explained in the webinar. The second one is an exact replica except I used the "Info tool" in place of the Important passages. with it, you can click the exact word, rather than the passage (Probably a better way, but I'm new and I discovered this one myself)

This may or may not apply to you, but one of the things Morris Proctor said in his videos that has helped me out, is to collapse all of your fields when opening searches, guides, and the like. Every open drop down is a search, and if they are open they all run at one time. If you get in the habit of keeping them closed until you need them, the responsiveness

  • Re: Welcome to the Wordsearch Forum

This!! I've watched videos all weekend, slow walked through basic functions and got as far as sermon editor. But, right now, I've concluded I am spending too much prep time just trying to figure out the "How". As vast as the program is it, it feels as if "ease of use" has not been a priority. At one point I ran across someone "selling" Logos training

all of the books I have through "Faithlife Connect" has that tag. Since it's a subscription service I would lose access if I cancel my subscription

It may help to right click your preferred Bible and "Duplicate" then set the duplicate to "send hyperlinks here" while keeping your original Bible set to your link set A (if using links) Just remember not to link the hyperlink target window to the same linkset as your primary Bible. Morris Proctor does a wonderful Cross reference layout in the quickstart

[quote user="James H. Schafer"] Hi, Flanary's, I'm sure by now you have found the answer to your thought about Zipscript, but just in case I thought I would give you my experience. I use Zipscript all the time. Since it is a separate software I've loaded to my computer it loads up each time I turn on or reboot my computer. I've set Alt-Z as my Hotkey

They have done a phenomenal job so far, but things are slowing. I asked this basic question a day or so ago regarding "Thompson-Chain" specifically and "end-of-the-year" appears to be the only safe response so far. I'm sure most of the easily negotiable books are done and now they are slogging through the tougher ones. Ones that have licensing hurdles

That feature in Word looks great, I would still love to see a full "zipscript" though. Ive used it tons on social media, messaging and emails. I also loved the search in Wordsearch 12, but will withold further comment until I'm better acquainted with Logos

Dis his "quickstart" in the library, then watched the 3 webinars, now I'm using his code to work through what I can on mpseminars. The man is a great teacher. In just over a week I am almost more comfortable with Logos than I was with Wordsearch in the past decade. Currently I'm working through his "Camp Logos 1" So far it has cost me nothing but time

One of the training seminars clearly stated that "Logos views a husband and wife as One' and even underage children were permissible to use the same account.

4th day since the changeover from WS. This post has been one of the most helpful for me (although everyone has been great here) I ran into something today whilst looking through my library. I'm assuming all of us Wordsearch refugees received it free, it's called " Quickstart For Logos 8 " by Morris Proctor (you can easily search it in the "Go" box)

I am, by no means, very experienced in Logos having just transitioned from Wordsearch. But, I can say that I took one 4 day weekend and watched his "Camp Logos" 1 and 2 sets. By the time I was done I am very comfortable with everything. I went back in and picked up some Canvas webinars from the library, as they weren't covered in Camp Logos, but other

[quote user="Kiyah"] There is more than one passage that uses the phrase "sons of God", not just the infamous Gen 6:1-4 passage (which definitely is disputed in terms of interpretation). I guess I'm wondering if all passages that contain the phrase are equally ambiguous and thus in dispute? Looking at the passages that come up in a <Person The Sons
