Installation on same version of Windows worked fine for me. Maybe you had an MSI pending a reboot?

Mainly I am capturing references to both book and articles as I go. I am aware that it could be more efficient to export multiple reference in one go, but this doesn't fit very well with my workflow.

Thanks Graham. EndNote is a tool to allow you to easily create reference for academic papers etc. My aim is to get the bibliographical details of the resource into EndNote so I can cite etc in papers. Hope that helps clarify...

  • Getting reference into EndNote

Hi there, I am trying to work out whether there is quicker way to get a reference from Logos into EndNote. At the moment the process I am following is as follows: 1. Clip part of the resource into a Clippings document 2. Ctrl+P to export 3. Select RIS format and save the file 4. Import RIS file into EndNote This process takes about 30 seconds per resource

  • Finding things in history

Hi there, I had occasion earlier today to try and a resource I was consulting last weekend. Having opened the history it was clearly in the list somewhere but since no date/times are shown it was more difficult that it should be to find. I cannot see any way to display a date or group items in the history by date. Does anyone know a way to do this please

  • Citation missing author for A Survey of the OT

Hi there I am using the copy citation option from the info section of A Survey of the OT by Hill & Walton, however as you can see from the attached screenshot only Hill is included in the citation as author thus excluding Walton. Is this a problem with the book metadata or something I am doing wrong? thanks Paul

Thanks for the input guys. I have to say I'm surprised that there isn't an obvious way to do this.

  • Generating a Citation

Hi there A quick question, if anyone can help. I want to get a citation, including page number etc from a particular resource in Logos 7 - when I highlight the relevant section and right click there doesn't seem to be an obvious option to get a citation similar to the following: Wenham, G. J. (1998). Genesis 1–15 (Vol. 1, p. 11). Dallas: Word

Just a quick note for the unwary. If you click on the Get Both Now link on the page in the OP it adds two unrelated and much more expensive items to your cart, as you can see from the screenshot...
Consider also a search with multiple terms <Thing Ark of the Covenant> OR ark . If searching one resource (or multiple resources) this search may still return results, even if one or more don't have any Thing tagging. The feedback is a nice idea, but it very rapidly gets complicated to communicate the

  • Re: not returning results in NIV84

Well, the Bible has two testaments which, from what you are saying, are either supported or unsupported. So a simple message indicating why no results from the OT are shown could be displayed, based on whether the search range covers an unsupported section of the resource. Just as it would when searching an OT book etc. I understand now how it works

Any idea why Logos doesn't produce a helpful message when running a search like this against a resource which doesn't support it?
Presumably because its not an error - there are just no results found
Whilst I agree that it is not an error, as such, to my mind it is an action

That's helpful thanks. Any idea why Logos doesn't produce a helpful message when running a search like this against a resource which doesn't support it? On a separate note is there a way to see which resources support what?

  • not returning results in NIV84

Hi there, I am running a search with NIV84 for <Thing Ark of the Covenant> in the book of Joshua however it returns no results at all. I am guessing that this happens because the NIV may not be tagged with the right dataset, although I am not sure, Can anyone confirm this please? thanks Paul

Thanks again for the reply. The main issue is that it is inconsistent rather than the lack of support. In this scenario the drag and drop works its just that its behaviour is inconsistent with pasting.
