The bullet point formatting options seem to be mutually exclusive with the style. Thus it is not possible to mark something using the blockquote, illustration styles which includes bullet points. Anyone found a work around to this?
I expect that it's functioning exactly as intended. However, you could put in a feature request at feedback.faithlife.com for Logos/Verbum to generate a drop down menu at that spot.
Could be, and this may be what I am missing! What rationale is there for having two verse selections in different parts of the app functioning
I think using the commentary section in the passage guide or explorer works best for keeping commentaries and the Bible in sync.
Thanks John, that is where I normally start, however once working in a given piece of text with a more substantial commentary I find myself wanting the text in question on the screen but
Unfortunately, the variation in approaches by the commentaries means that it cannot be a straightforward process - verses are arbitrary late additions not thought units of the text.
Thanks for the reply MJ. I think the issue lies with the navigation process rather than with a specific resource and the way in which verses

Does anyone else have any suggestions or keyboard shortcuts to simplify what ought to be a straightforward process?

Bump, think this is a bug...
Are you highlighting text in a notebook or in a resource?
In a resource
Are you trying to drag and drop into the notebook when it is open in the notebook pane of sermon builder? If so, I don't believe this is supported. We can't edit the note directly when in Sermon Builder. [/quote

Hi there I'm coming across a problem, whereby I cannot drag and drop a piece of text from a resource into the Sermon Notebook. (I assume that this should be possible). To replicate: 1, HIghlight some text in a notebook 2. Drag & drop into the sermon notebook - it looks like it will accept it but fails It is hard to see it is failing because the

Thanks, that's really helpful. Appreciate the reply.

entering the same thing into the Sermon Builder doesn't cause any prompt:
Exactly. The Sermon Builder doesn't require that you pick your entry from a list; rather it requires that you enter your entry in a correct format.
I do understand what you are asking and can see someone who wants to study one verse at a time and maybe I’d preparing a lesson, homily or sermon to be delivered in that way. But personally don‘t want large discourses in commentaries being broken up on arbitary markers.
I agree with what you are saying
Would you consider relabeling that section "Genre" or "Style and Genre"? I wouldn't think to look there for genre information if you didn't point that out.
I think that is why I didn't look their either. Genre is a little narrow for the data included by the look of it because it covers a wider variety of linguistic questions

Hi all On the Android App there is a facility to add a book to a "read later" list which is accessible through the library. However I can;t find where to access this list or feature on Logos desktop. Can anyone help please? thanks Paul
-
I think I understand now The syncing doesn't work like that. As one scrolls the bible, the commentary lines up with the top verse of the section you are using. This works well with resources like study bibles etc where the sections are finely divided. It is less helpful in publications such as Lexham Context Commentary New

Can anyone explain to me where information about the genre of a book is surfaced in the Factbook> If I look at the Gospel of John under Bible Book Guide there doesn't seem to be a section / subsection relating to genre. thanks Paul
In the Logos Sermon Editor, you can "Publish" a sermon to Faithlife Sermons: https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016747391-Sermon-Builder#export
OK thanks. Thanks Mike, I am using Windows. What happens when you click on a verse does the reference section change and does the commentary follow this reference?

Hi there There appears to be a refresh problem in the Sermon Builder, to reproduce: 1. Open a sermon and go to the sermon notebook tab 2. Open the notebook using the icon with the arrow pointing into the square 3. Add a note to the notebook Notice that the sermon notebook does not refresh correctly. In order to refresh it you have to move to the info

OK I've done a bit more analysis on this and can report the following: In both single column and multi column modes when you click on a verse the reference box changes to the reference clicked. However this has no effect on the linked commentary which stubbornly remains on the first verse on the page. This is close to working if the link between the
